Some “prominent Republicans and conservative news media outlets” are being accused by The Washington Post of rallying around the cause of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who made derogatory comments about “Negroes” and has been discredited as a racist. But Glenn Beck, the prominent conservative TV and radio host, did not fall into the trap. He concluded early on that the Nevada rancher was “unhinged” and not worthy of support, after noting that some followers of radio host Alex Jones were “deeply embedded” with the Bundy family and preparing for a confrontation with federal agents.
“These guys are dangerous. They are looking for revolution. They are looking for a fight,” Beck said of the Alex Jones disciples. Recognizing a dangerous situation in the making, when armed federal agents tried to seize Bundy’s cattle, Beck urged a peaceful response to the conflict. Eventually, the federal agents were withdrawn, and bloodshed was avoided.
Jones is being inaccurately described in some reports about the controversy as a “conservative” when, in fact, he insists he is a “libertarian.” What is an established fact is that Jones has a habit of exploiting legitimate conservative issues for his own benefit. He is a 9/11 “truther” who thinks the September 11, 2001 attacks were carried out by a secret cabal and that Muslims were unfairly blamed. In a decision he has probably come to regret, Sean Hannity of Fox News had followed Jones’ lead on the Bundy case.

Beck should be real proud of himself for being praised by the scumbags at media matters. Their approval must be important to him.
It seems silly, of course, but in fact associations play an important role in the way we think. Connecting positive adjectives/adverbs with unpopular events like slavery or the Holocaust will create a lot of friction in the brains of many people.

As far as the lefties are concerned they’ve achieved it. I’m hoping those on the fence are starting to see through the smoke and realize what The People are really up against; a master deceiver whose intentions for this country are very bad. What we have is a silent coup that the lefties are too ideologically blind, indoctrinated, and naieve to see. They don’t realize they are next if they accomplish their mission.
the government this much land in Nevada and other states is socialism/communism. the land must be given to the states and individuals NOW. Nothing is more monstrous to me than government owning land
The gov is using 30% of the U.S. land for environmentalism when private companies could be using those vast resources to get oil, oil shale, logging, farmland etc.. Use Google to see that just on government owned lands in the west there is more recoverable oil than all of the rest of the world combined

Bundy is in the wrong, but the federal government's reaction to him demonstrates how far past its proper scope the Beltway has gone.
This is not about grazing fees. Mr. Bundy is not in the wrong. He has a good argument based on pre-emptive rights.
Beyon that its really about the overeach of government and the police state. CWII has started there just have been no shots fired yet. The standoff at the Bundy ranch was the tipping point. It only heats up going forward. Its not going to cool off.
Somebody needs to tell Beck that when the liberals are patting you on the back about how wise/smart/clever/nuanced you are this can mean only one thing: You have been had!
