INDIANAPOLIS Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fired up a crowd of thousands inside Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday night to kick off the National Rifle Associations Stand and Fight Rally, saying Americans constitutional rights as envisioned by the founding fathers are under attack and policies like gun-free zones constitute stupid on steroids.
They knew that if the Second Amendment goes, the rest of the constitution is not far behind, she said of the countrys founders.
In her approximately 12-minute address, Mrs. Palin also derided what she argued is akin to a blame the messenger attitude on gun violence many Americans take today.
Gun stores are an accomplice to crime, she said, and that fork made me fat.
Mrs. Palin, plucked from relative political obscurity to be the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, still enjoys significant support among elements of the partys base, and was at times received like a rock star inside the complex adjacent to the Indiana Convention Center, where much of the gun rights groups annual meeting has taken place.

She still gets my vote. Hey, how many times can I vote?
I should totally copyright that. HAHAHAHAH
Okay, then you watch as that nothing failed line gets ripped to shreds right in front of your eyes. You may get folks to buy into that around here, bit isn’t going to be accepted elsewhere.
If you want to think that’s my fault, go ahead.
Palin is no different than McCain on immigration reform.
Not no, it’s hell no for me.
Who, in your opinion, and in a public forum, is speaking out about our Constitutional rights? Who is out fighting for conservatives and the principles that this country was founded on? Who do you see turning this sinking ship around? You say it’s not Sarah (calling her a self promoting idiot). Then who is your choice?
Well then we are on the (completely) opposite side on this issue.
Just this one issue mind you.
But I feel you are way off, on Palin.
Yeah, and do you know how many people demand our Conservatives be "elected" in their eyes, when in reality they are just fine, but work against them and cause us to get those types of Candidates.
It cuts both ways.
That Same Defeatist Crap that you spout is what drives away people on our side and leaves a Void for "Oh Well, he's not Obama" type of candidate.
You NEVER see the Democrats do that. Hilary Clinton has had people murdered and our side can't rally behind and Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz over....something?

John Dickinson couldn't bring himself to vote for the Declaration of Independence. So you know what he did? So unlike you, He Respectfully Held his Peace.
But oh well, you have a Butt Hurt for Sarah and Make Her Threads look like the Yahoo Comment Sections. So I am sure you feel better.
Thank You and Don't Come Again.
When Sarah bought a home in Arizona, I had hopes that she would move there and run for the US Senate. She did not. She has essentially given up on her political career and is now a talking head on tv.
I wish she could have taken charge and could have been a leader, but evidently she was not cut out for that.
You have been around long enough to know that F.R. is Palin Country.
A pod of whales, a flock of sheep, and a pus of progressives
That's absolutely untrue, but I don't have the time to argue about that tonight and it's not the topic of this thread.
You should actually try to keep up with her positions, not one or two of her comments when she was McCain's running mate in 2008, for crying out loud.
There are things I like about the woman. There are things I think are problems. I do not think she is nearly the draw everyone thinks she is. Some folks get fixated on a candidate, and from then on there is no reality. It’s just I want this person so you use good judgement and shut up. She backs a number of candidates. Some win. Some don’t. Those that win it’s because of her. Those that don’t, there’s always another reason. I think that is an interesting dynamic. When McCain won after she endorsed him for return to the Senate every one of her supporters here denied she had anything to do with it. I mean it’s just comical.

I said I will not post on this thread anymore, this is honestly my last post, it is a valid question. Who is fighting for us? Senator Ted Cruz, Gov. Scott Walker, Justice Roy Moore, Justice Samuel Alito, plenty others. All serious men, who behave in a dignified manner and do not do silly publicity stunts.
I have audio of three interviews Would you like to hear them?
Just curious Onyx.
Unusual and nice picture of our graciously-aging-and-almost-always-right spokeslady.
I am not saying anything here that she is not going to have to confront in 2016. So why is it that you are so frightened of the truth?
We are more than two years away from the election. If we can’t debate this now, when can we?
What you are basically saying is that FRee Republic has already chosen who will be the 2016 nominee, and nobody can address the real valid issues now.
Is that your idea of a healthy debate, so that we get the best possible candidate?
I agree with you there. Back in 2008 I saw Palin as probably the next Reagan. It just didn't happen, and I don't think it will happen. Palin evidently prefers to be the happy warrior, and not the commanding general.
And there is nothing wrong with that. In her current role she is contributing much to the conservative cause.
Would You like to read them?
From this year regarding John McCain It goes without saying we dont all agree on all political issues. For instance, I shall keep pushing to open ANWR, I oppose letting illegal aliens cut in line and receive American benefits via immigration reform, and I oppose any Congressional action that allows President Obama to incur more U.S. debt.
