Sarah Palin: ‘Waterboarding is how we’d baptize terrorists’ in her administration

INDIANAPOLIS — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fired up a crowd of thousands inside Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday night to kick off the National Rifle Association’s “Stand and Fight Rally,” saying Americans’ constitutional rights as envisioned by the founding fathers are under attack and policies like gun-free zones constitute “stupid on steroids.”

“They knew that if the Second Amendment goes, the rest of the constitution is not far behind,” she said of the country’s founders.

In her approximately 12-minute address, Mrs. Palin also derided what she argued is akin to a ‘blame the messenger’ attitude on gun violence many Americans take today.

“Gun stores are an accomplice to crime,” she said, “and that fork made me fat.”

Mrs. Palin, plucked from relative political obscurity to be the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, still enjoys significant support among elements of the party’s base, and was at times received like a rock star inside the complex adjacent to the Indiana Convention Center, where much of the gun rights group’s annual meeting has taken place.

Why aren't you on other threads of every single GOP standard bearer or potential candidate asking for their immigration bona fides? We've noticed you haven't given us ONE link yet to a potential candidate who has the answer you demand for immigration. Why is that?

Actually, I'm an adult male human. I can see how you could be easily confused though. So far on this thread you haven't been able to stick the point and tell me why you think her policy has changed, absent any tangible proof whatsoever. It's evident this is taxing your focus to the max.

It must be a real strange set of personal beliefs and comprehensive intellect, that allows you to state that Palin's views have changed, not be able to find any evidence of it, and still claim that you have the upper hand and that the person who is challenging you has lost the debate a log ways back.

As for me focusing on other candidates, I don't seen any other candidates being supported here in numbers approaching anything like the support Palin is getting. I don't think it's too much to ask that you guys explain why you support her on various topics. If you could just answer the qeustion and provide some sort of tangible evidence of your answer, this would have been over yesterday this time.

I did not say folks will flock to this thread. None the less people will do research and run across this thread.

They will see what you have acted like here. They will see what Palin supporters will act like. They will see how rude, unfocused, insulting, disrespectful and in some cases what downrigth liars they are. They will see avoidence. It's all here for anyone to see who happens along..

They will see claims that have been made, and the refusal to substantiate them. They will see people trash McCain's policy, but defend Palin when it is shown she had adopted some of the worst parts of his policy as her own.

They will note that people called it an amnesty that wasn't an amnesty when McCain proposed it. And they will see folks claim it's nothing of the sort when Palin stated it was her policy.

This is pretty much a permanent record..

What good will that policy do us, if she ushers in from 80 to 150 million new citizens from North, Central, and South American nations within the next 20 years? I made no comment about anyone else but Palin on this thread. I had nothing to prove regarding anyone else. You however did say Palin's immigration stance had changed. I asked you to back that up. You couldn't. You still can't.

It's not hypocritical to state that someone's policies haven't changed and prove it. It's merely factual.

It's not truthful to state someone's policies have changed, and then be unable to prove it.

When Onyx says truth, it is truth. When Onyx says non-truth, it is non-truth. I will be comfortable with people reading my comments here and evaluating Onyx's comments for themselves.

Palin has had a massive rabid defense force here. There was no need for me to enter her threads and join the love fest. I have done so rarely, but that wasn't appreciated either, so I have not been motivated to defend her. I think she has been treated rotten over time. That doesn't alleviate the need for her to make her goals on different matters crystal clear.

Now, asking for clarity in policy, is not an attack. I did not care for the immigration policy Palin was hawking in 2008. I said so. I didn't bother to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. It wasn't because of Sarah, because I have said many times that I think she garnered him an addtional 20 points at the general election. I just didn't see McCain to be a man I trusted with our nation. His ties to Soros, the Kerry's, Kennedy... and many other very soiled Democrats left me no doubt he would have screwed this nation very badly. And when he did, I didn't want our side to get the blame.

Today I remain opposed to Palin's plan to Register and allow illegal aliens to remain in place. And until someone can show me where she changed her policy, I'll continue to realize her policy hasn't changed.

I've got an entity trying to pass himself/herself off as a human, that can't quite grasp that all they have to do is back up what they stated, and I will accept the evidence. So far, you haven't been able to.

Bratch, she is right to say what she said there, and I appreciate what she said there. She has also advocated for completing the fence on the border, and bringing in the national guard to button up the border. These are all good things, and I support her for saying them. She also says she is not for a comprehensive immigration reform now.

These all sound good. Here’s what still perplexes me.

If we register between 20 and 35 million illegal aliens, thy are instantly legal residents. If they are allowed to stay here, in six years they’ll get to apply for citizenship. And once they are citizens, they’ll get to bring over family members.

20 to 35 million

2 to 7 family members each

children born to 20 to 35 million

You start adding all this up, and you’ve got 80 to 150 million people here in under 20 years. It could go over 200 million, because 6 6 6 = 18 years. Each new wave of citizenships, more relatives could be on the way.

So for all the good things, this on aspect of Palin’s policy could swamp this nation.

Evidently this is how you impress folks what a great candidate she is. You badger folks for asking what her immigration policy is, because if it hasn’t changed it would be hard for at least one of them to support her in the primaries.

Over the years I’ve learned never to be afraid to ask questions. If the questions have occurred to you, there a lot of other people who have the same question.

You guys have refused to provide information that would make it clear your candidate had adopted a better policy.

For this reason, I remain convinced she hasn’t changed her policy. She still supports the register and remain in place policy.

I don’t have to hate the woman to ask this question. I don’t have to take a pass on her saying good things. I can give her credit for some things while still asking to know what her immigration policy is.

No, they haven't. I don't ask for support. I don't ping a cardre of people who will support me. I post what most folks think of as rational posts.
