Give the man his due. He may be a low-rent McCarthyite for whom no smear is too cheap. He may be an awful majority leader whose imperious tactics have hopelessly alienated the minority party. He may be dirty, having built a curiously large fortune despite working in government his entire adult life.
But he sure can troll.

It is the height of irresponsibility for any individual or entity in a position of power or influence to glorify or romanticize such a dangerous individual, and anyone who has done so should come to their senses and immediately condemn Bundy. For their part, national Republican leaders could help show a united front against this kind of hateful, dangerous extremism by publicly condemning Bundy.
“The bottom line is that elected officials and those in positions of power or influence have a responsibility to unite behind the basic principle that we are a country of laws, and that whatever our differences, it is unacceptable for individuals to use violence or the threat of violence to advance their radical views.”
I know what you’re thinking, and I too am disappointed that he didn’t work in a Koch brothers reference.
Has any “national Republican leader” refused to condemn Bundy, incidentally? Boehner and McConnell haven’t weighed in yet, but that’s not because anyone seriously thinks they agree with him; it’s because they know they’ll be asked about it eventually and would rather wait until the story’s not red-hot. The two most prominent Republicans to defend Bundy recently, Rand Paul and Dean Heller, both gave him an official thumbs-down this morning. So did RNC chief Reince Priebus. But Reid understands all that. The point of demanding formal denunciations is simply to prompt the media to put random Republicans on the spot when they have a chance. Which reminds me: Will America’s foremost anti-Koch demagogue, who often frets sweatily on the Senate floor about billionaires dominating national policy, denounce this? Might as well get everyone on the record about everything.
There is some good news for Bundy defenders, though. Lefty media noticed that he had some kind things to say about illegal immigrants (at around 2:20 below) after his shpiel about blacks. He could be one amnesty endorsement away from total (well, partial) reputational rehab.
He makes “dirty” look like a nice word. This man is the lowest of scum anywhere.

Yup. And each time it comes back it will be closer to a very bad blow up. The problem with politicians the world over is they may know, but never learn the lessons of history.
I said this the other day but America has one huge problem in the general sense. The people think that we are special in the sense that ‘it can’t happen here, to us’. Well, a lot of cultures/countries thought the same thing. Rome for instance. Didn’t stop ‘it’ from happening there despite their long reign.
The longer the cans are kicked, the bigger the blow up. Put enough pressure on anything and it breaks. Even America. People say “We have the protection of the Constitution”. What? the thing no Republican will defend and the thing Dems wipe with? It can’t defend anyone or anything because those in power ignore it and those in serfdom let them.
What Reid really meant was “I call on republicans whimps to help me and my son make more millions by taking Bundy’s land.” And they will.

All very true. The causes and conditions for a blow up are getting worse not better. Instead of recognizing the underlying problem that the Bundy-BLM hinges on the left has found a way to ignore that and attack personalities instead of finding just solutions. That’s just tamping the gunpowder down tighter.
I had left work at 0300 hrs Wed, my 3rd 12 hr shift in 3 days, trying to get a few hours sleep before driving 2 hrs into Pittsburgh for a med appt. Then driving back for another 12 hr shift.
Well,sometimes lack of sleep can focus one's awareness.
Cliven Bundy and kin have a lot of support. They are hard working, Christian, heterosexual, Constitutionalists.

This wasn't about a tyrannical federal government applying the boot to the neck, though that literally did happen.
It wasn't about the Constitution or state sovreignity or rights.
This was about race.
It's now about black people though, as far as I know no black people were involved.(Is that racist?)(I did see black and brown cows though)
The regime redefined the argument,Beck, the faux conservatives on Faux News and elsewhere were used like cheap...girls of dubious character and did their bidding.
But they were not used. they willingly sided with leftists. Willingly.
I call on fellow freepers in name only to stop siding with Harry Reid and forwarding the ‘racist’ and other liberal Bundy memes across a number of threads as they have been.
And on actual freepers to denounce them when they do it.

They know if we ever get our crap together on anything they are doomed. And they have good reason to fear since we will undo everything they have done to date once in power. So they work like demons to ensure we don’t.
