Conservative writer Ann Coulter is enthusiastically endorsing Tea Party-backed candidate David Brat in his primary challenge of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) in the upcoming June primary, citing Cantor's support for immigration reform.
In her nationally syndicated column, Ms. Coulter wrote that her endorsement was based on Brat's opposition to Cantor's immigration policies. Ms. Coulter labeled Cantor a "Maniacal Amnesty Supporter" in the column, and described him as "amnesty-addled."
"Cantor says 'immigration reform could be an economic boon to this country,'" wrote Coulter. "You don't have to be an economics professor [like Dave Brat] to know that bringing in millions of workers is not 'an economic boon' to the workers already here. (If only we could bring in millions of workers to compete for Cantor's job.)"
Coulter applauded Brat, who she wrote "responded to Cantor's baby-talk, saying immigration 'lowers wages, adds to unemployment, and the taxpayer pays the tab for any benefits to folks coming in.'"
"Anyone opposing an incumbent Republican for any reason other than amnesty is a fraud or an idiot," Ms. Coulter argued. "Right now, immigration and Obamacare are the only things that matter. Since every Republican voted against Obamacare, that leaves only immigration," she added.
Ms. Coulter wrote that Brat was one of three men who are challenging incumbent Republican supporters of amnesty in the primaries who pass her test of conservative campaign credibility "with flying colors."
The other two are Dr. Greg Brannon, running in North Carolina's Republican U.S. Senate primary, and Frank Roche, challenging a Republican in North Carolina's 2nd Congressional District, who Ms. Coulter describes as "the lying, amnesty-supporting Renee Ellmers."

I have never understood why many men here on FR think Ann is pretty or sexy.
She is unbelievably bony, angular, and just overall harsh looking.
A skinny boy’s body with boobs.
Plus she is a RINO. A bamboozler peddling her books.
Yes! Finally. Geez, I’ve missed her. I hope this is a new trend.
Boy, that should sway a lot of voters /s
Cantor is being groomed to continue the cave-in, doormat Republican Method that has assured defeat for Republican Candidates for decades.
They’re all there for one reason and that’s to cash in. They’re all a bunch of narcissists. And I mean “ALL”.
You are correct on each and every point. Ann has been very good this issue.
I wish we can get eviction orders against the family that is in the peoples White House now!
They sure are trashing it with all their lies and corruption.
Hear! Hear!
When Cantor used his position to betray both America's interests, as well as the clearest possible interests of his own party, he threw down the gauntlet to Conservative Republicans, as well as patriots in general. Obviously, if that is Republican "leadership," it is difficult to see how any of us can continue to support the party. It really comes down to a question of "either/ or" on a much broader scale than one Congressional Primary.
While the people of one Virginia House District will decide between Cantor & Brat, their decision will have a very considerable effect on what happens in a great many States, this November.
Our prayers will go with Mr. Brat, whom, I must admit, I do not even know. (And, then there is the drama in the District just to the North of mine, in Ohio!!)

Ann has shown the courage & resolve to step forward on this. Your swiping at her over other matters, not relevant to the coming Virginia Primary, is certainly your right. But do you really want to distract others from a very essential issue?

Her looks are disturbing to me, especially as she ages and still insists on dressing like a 22 year old. The more black makeup she cakes around her eyes, the more she is looking like a man dressed as a woman.
I think I had enough of her ascerbic tone when she turned her eyes to and heart against her own constituency, calling us various names for not supporting her “Mill Stone” (Romney).
It was amusing the way she morphed into Sysiphus, pressing her dainty shoulder to a boulder and rolling it uphill, both ways, everyday.
Her unqualified support of Don’t Boy and again, her backstabbing the rest if us, while she pranced about and even on Hannity, as some freakish, cartoonish, caricature of a dilitante provocature.
Was earned near De Gaulle like, as she metaphorically left NATO and walked that lonely trail each day on her very own island.
Luckily, there was a lifeboat which she only recently decided to avail herself of.
She dinged it up and has no insurance to cover the damage.
It’s up to her to figure out if she is an establishment shew or smart thinking, self determined gal.
Ann-e Coulter.
Romney was the best candidate on immigration from 2007-2012. Tancredo and Kobach endorsed him out of the field that was.
In hindsight I think maybe Santorum would have meant we won the ND and MT senate races with better turnout amongst social conservatives.
Obama was so terrible on immigration I don’t know if anyone stayed at home because of Romney’s immigration views. It was probably every other thing he was liberal on.

By my count, Millers primary coup may have helped gain around ten votes by terrifying GOP incumbents who might otherwise have been tempted by the prospect of a feel-good, bipartisan, MSM-approved pro-DREAM stand.
I think Coulter is wrong on GOP senate control blocking amnesty. Taking out Bennett, Lugar, Lowden, Murkowski, Norton, Castle, almost Ayotte in primaries alienated their wishy washy stance on immigration. It scared incumbents in 2012. There will be 24 Republicans in 2016 fighting primary challenges.
If Republicans only get 49 Senators it is more likely they won’t do amnesty than if they have 51 or 50(and get open borders Angus King to join).
If Mike Rounds was to be spoiled by a third party that alienates the open borders views of Republicans.
If McDaniel takes out Cochran that hurts Lott, Wicker and Barbour.
If Wolf takes out Pat that puts pressure on Jerry Moran that he is in danger.
Ann has “shown courage” ??????????
Wow! Buy a clue why dontcha.
If you mean Ann has “shown courage” to sell more books and make money off of trusting conservatives, then yes.
I for one ain’t falling for her BS conservatism.
If cantor can be beaten, it will tamp down Boener’s amnesty promises for the summer, and kill cantor’s route to the speakership. Both these guys have been way too eager for amnesty to go off to be trusted.
Cantor is in big trouble. His opponent is gaining daily. We WILL NOT HAVE AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!! NEVER!!! ask rubio.
I may be wrong, but I see no way that the uninformed majorities of VA would ever remove Cantor.
Off topic - I scanned through an article yesterday that claimed USA coal would be exported to Europe if Putin shuts off the natural gas.
Sounded a little fanciful to me, but I'll guess the folks in PA and WV appreciate ANY good news concerning the coal industry these days.
Eric Cantor primary - In case you missed it, Cantor, who supports the basic concept of Amnesty, freaked out after Obama phoned him to discuss Amnesty a few days ago.
Cantor has issued a public statement that says Obama cannot be trusted on the issue, and that the House will never pass the Gang of Eight bill.
It's pure theater!
Canto faces an articulate primary opponent, David Brat, an economist who is beating up Cantor badly on the immigration issue.
Cantor is clearly scared about the election.
Did Republicans Stay Home (?) - Here are some numbers that may shock you.
I did the math, which I'll share if you need it.
4.23 million - the number of white voters who stayed home in 2012 compared to 2008.
3.94 million - Romney's total white vote INCREASED by this amount over McCain's total in 2008.
6.12 million - Obama’s total white vote WENT DOWN by this amount compared to 2008.
Conclusion - essentially every white voter who stayed home in 2012 voted for Obama in 2008.
Cruz is a fighter for our constitution like none other in politics today. You can verify this by the attacks from Rats and RINOs.
There are a lot of moving parts in this argument:
Coulter walked away from Christie months ago, specifically over the immigration issue.
Coulter attacked Cruz because of his past immigration policy, but she does not seem to realize that Cruz has become much more hawkish in recent months.
Romney had the most hawkish immigration policy from about 2006 to 2013.
However, Coulter does not seem to realize that Romney has backed away from some of his old immigration policies in recent months.
In my opinion, the GOP does not have one national candidate who can be completely trusted on Amnesty and Immigration.
Ann who?
