A&E's Duck Dynasty remains a ratings powerhouse, and co-star Willie Robertson's film God's Not Dead is one of 2014's biggest sleeper hits.
That wasn't enough to prevent a Michigan utility company from scrapping a Duck Dynasty look-a-like contest after a single complaint, according to Fox News.
The decision was made in light of controversial remarks by a Duck Dynasty cast member against the LGBT community, the public utility said in a statement. The BWL is committed to diversity and respect community differences, and we regret if the contest offended anyone.
The utility announced the contest on Monday. One local citizen complained about it later that day, connecting the event to star Phil Robertson's comments about homosexuality in GQ magazine.
It was the only complaint the utility received, but it was more than enough. Utility spokesman Steve Serkaian told Fox News "it took a minute" to decide to cancel the contest.

What a happy utility.
When the complaint of a single person can cause a whole company to back down, the queer lobby is powerful.
I did a little digging found that this is the Lansing Board of Water and light. Their power is restricted to Lansing. They’re tiny and already have real problems due to the fact that they left hundreds of customers without power for weeks over Christmas.
i hope they get the same treatment when some faggot wants to speak at the college
I dug a couple links. Yeah, it’s Lansing. RME.
I find it interesting we had to dig. The quality of the reportage at Breitbart is suffering, of late.
Someone should have told him to go pluck his ducks.
I thought Consumers Power, it’s what I always had. Never had DTE. Sounds like a condition extreme alcoholics develop.
Name the individual that had their feelings hurt. No more of the unnamed offended. Gice us the name of the “offended” party. We demand it.
Amen. If certain newspapers have no problem publishing a list of all CCW permit holders, I see no reason the info on these complainers shouldn’t be published.
I bet they have a ling history of similar complaints.
do you think they would cancel any tv show, concert or contest if we complains about its homo content?
Perhaps if the whiner were told, “Ah, grow up!”
...and then dismissed from the room, we’d have a bit less of this?
< do I need a sarc tag? >
I’m surprised they haven’t started screaming for AMC to take “Turn” off the air after Robert Rogers told a murderer that he was going to make him into something “lower than a sodomite or a serpent’s belly”.

great idea.
And yet, the left claims that a 2/3rds majority shouldn’t be required for anything, that a simple majority should be sufficient. Thanks kingattax.
