Yes it does look cold. I think that was a time when they thought the war would be over in a couple of weeks. Then the Battle of the Bulge began.

It’s looking dim for seeing the moon later tonight.
Sunset isn’t until 9:19pm. It’s blue sky now but clouds are supposed to be coming in.
Did you have good lessons today.
I am off for home, and to pick up my taxes.

The French Consul with two combat engineer vets. He awarded them some medals of which I have no knowledge.

Good evening, ML!
*HUGS*
Itchy trigger finger? Moi?
Guilty! And after the events of the last couple of weeks, rightly so!
I'm sorry I've been so out-of-pocket lately - being driven from pillar to post! I hope things are going well with you!

Spoonful Of Sugar
April 15, 2014
Read: Psalm 19:7-14
Where is Mary Poppins when you need her? I know this sounds as if Im longing for the good old days when cheerfully unrealistic movies featured characters like this fictional nanny, but what Im really longing for are people with a vision for the future that is realistically optimistic. I yearn for joyful, creative people who can show us the positive side of what we consider negative, who can remind us that just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down.
David wrote a song that expressed a similar truth. In his words, the judgments of the Lord are sweeter also than . . . honey (Ps. 19:9-10). Seldom do we hear that truth is sweet. More often we hear that it is bitter or hard to swallow. But truth is so much more than medicine to treat whats wrong. Its the diet that will prevent disease. Its not an inoculation or an injection. Its a gourmet meal that should be presented as a culinary delight, enticing the hungry to taste and see that the Lord is good (34:8).
We sing Jesus is the sweetest name I know, but some of us present Him as if Hes gone sour. Pure truth, untainted by pride, is the sweetest, most refreshing taste of all to those who hunger for spiritual sustenance. And we have the privilege of serving it to a starving world.
Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
And Hes just the same as His lovely name,
And thats the reason why I love Him so;
Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know. Long
The truth of the Lord endures forever. Psalm 117:2

We didn’t get a drop, though we had rain clouds right over us. :(
Wish you and your mom could take a little “get-away” somewhere nice and peaceful where work can’t find you!
Same for Lauren! :)

Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Hope your Monday went well. We got up to 48 today. I’m really glad I resisted the urge to wash my car this weekend. My way home was on streets with melting water running from curb to curb. And the intersection on my street is a wall to wall lake. I sure hope the city is working on thawing the drains.
