Howard Stern has made no secret of his affection for Greg Gutfeld.
Stern proclaimed Gutfeld's The Five to be his favorite show earlier this year. Now, the self-proclaimed King of All Media is going a step further with his praise for the Breitbart News contributor and author.
Stern told his listeners earlier today that Gutfeld would make a fine replacement for the departing David Letterman.
That praise doesn't come lightly.
Stern has made his animosity toward fellow late night talker Jay Leno well known...

I couldn’t stand Andy from day one.
God has much bigger things in store for Governor Sarah Palin. Although I don't pretend to know His Will, it's indeed quite plausible that Palin will serve as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court after she completes her two terms as President.
Mustn’t one be a lawyer to serve in that capacity?
I like them both but sometimes I squirm in my seat watching their ineptitude, not aware of so many facts, and poor responses to liberal taking points.
Governor Palin has something that far too many lawyers lack: wisdom. Plus, the SCOTUS is in desperate need of Constitutional common sense.
He is one of the few military veterans that I’m aware of on television.
I’d rather see Red Eye get the nightly 11PM slot on Fox News Channel.
I agree with all that, but the Senate isn’t going to confirm a non-attorney for that position. The days of clerking and then becoming a lawyer are long since gone.
Nope. While SCOTUS justices have traditionally had law degrees, there is no such requirement in the constitution
I think they would have to change it to the Red Eye format. And I’m talking about the old Red Eye format before they moved Andy Levy to the panel and gave Bill Schulz the boot. If they brought Greg in as host, TV’s Andy Levy as the ombudsman, and brought back Bill Schulz as the sidekick, that would be awesome!
Eric is Hannity with brains.

...AND with intellectual honesty and integrity. He digs down to the essence of problems.
Yup, Redeye has been rolling downhill. Heck I even miss Bill Shultz. I wonder what happened there...
I’ve known a few local TV people. When your personal ratings go down even a bit, you’re gone.
I’m so glad to see Letterman leaving. CBS usually has the better 10:00 shows, and I’d let it run through the local news until I hear some disgusting, dishonest insult of Sarah Palin or another honorable conservative. Then switch to Leno, still liberal, but more balanced and less insulting. Among the Jimmys, I think I prefer Kimmel to Fallon. At least Kimmel is not followed by Seth Myers.
I’d welcome Gutfeld or even a toned-down Howard Stern in the Letterman spot. But hey, how about Dennis Miller? He’s got TV and talk-show interview experience.
Ted Nugent!
As long as he could still shoot animals he might do it.
"Red Eye" is one of the very few shows on my "MUST WATCH!" list! (I DVR it every night to watch while I'm getting dressed before work, or when I get home from work - I do sort of miss Bill Shulz even though JoNo ROCKS!).

NAh.. the commies KNOW who the other commies are...
AND are Not..
How can you get rid of “TV’s Andy Levy?”
I do have to say I liked him better as the “ombundsman,” rather than a full time panelist.
I really used to enjoy S.E. Cupp (I guess once she signed a contract with msnbc she became persona non-grata at Fox), and Mike Baker is always a hoot. But I really LOVE Gavin McIness, he’s hilarious!
But you can’t get rid of Andy Levy!

I really liked Letterman when he first stated his show. He was really funny, and pretty darned inventive.
But that was 25 or 30 years ago, I think... He grew long in the tooth, then all his teeth fell out. He hasn't been funny since long before he moved to CBS.

“...will CBS give a conservative that big a megaphone?”
Nevuh!
They’d sooner resurrect that way over the hill Rosie O’Donnell before they’d put a conservative who’s actually funny, like Gutfeld, on their network.
