I have been checking every day for word of you, as I am certain many, many others have been doing.

Thank you for this dear message of how you are at this time, and of your lovely and deeply personal plans. My very best friend is in your shoes since March, right down to the same diagnosis, loss, cremation and eventual buriel resting place selected early on. I see her, I see you, and visa versa.

Thank you so much, dearest Jim and everyone.

I’m back from Saturday evening Mass and, miraculously, I’m starting to heal! Thanks be to God! AND thanks to you all and I mean that sincerely from my heart.

I’m part of what “I” have termed “The Widow’s Club” at the parish. Lovely, generous women, mostly old, several older than me, but that’s good for me because I view them as veterans and myself as a rookie. They’re all strong even though many are frail, or frail looking to me. I already know about several through my cherished Walt given that he was friends with them.

My sweetheart got his faithful prayer and deepest wish for me. I have returned to the Church for my own salvation without any doubts and without any reservations and this evening, at long last, I found solace and even “some” joy, through my profound grief, so I know I am starting to heal.
