Top 10 States Americans Are Fleeing

#1: New York

New York has led the nation in domestic out-migration since the late 1990s. The New York Post reported in 2011 that "62 percent of New Yorkers planning to leave cited economic factors — including cost of living (30 percent), taxes (19 percent) and the job environment (10 percent) — as the main reasons."

2012-2013 state-to-state net domestic migration: -104,470

Kansas? Deep red; unemployment rate from the mid 90s or late 80s; fiscal health; conservative values. What gives?

Yeah. My only complaint about Kansas is that it costs so damn much to register vehicles here. Thats why so many Kansans tag their vehicles in other states (especially Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma). Otherwise, I don't have a problem here.

Dumb statistics.

The populous states have the most departures.

We need PERCENTAGE out-migration to learn anything, lest one take the absurd lesson that people now prefer small states to populous ones.

Yes, the Tax A Chussettes libs that fled the high taxes to low taxes in New Hampshire have almost taken over that state now.

Can Scott Brown fight off ‘carpet bagger’ charge in New Hampshire? (+video)

Former Sen. Scott Brown, who served briefly in Massachusetts before losing to Elizabeth Warren, has moved to New Hampshire for another run at the US Senate. Will the Granite State accept him?

“Surprised that Maryland isn’t on the list.”

I thought that too, but then again, they are probably “backfilling” with federal “workers” (aka leeches) as DC “ramps up employment.”

I think Brown has a good shot at winning in NH. He poles very well here. NH electorate is about 1/3 dem, 1/3 pubbie, 1/3 independent. The independents could easily push him over the top. The biggest plus is he poles well with women.
White women are the deciders in this state. We only have about 10% minorities. Half of those are Asians. We have a lot of Chinese restaurants around here. Most of the rest of minorities are hard working illegals that wash dishes and mow lawns. It is difficult to get and stay on welfare here in NH. It is much easier to get welfare in Mass, Maine or RI. Hence our unemployment is 5% or less.

The problem with these hopeless morons is that they f-up the state they currently live in, then move because they hate they sh*t they created through voting dumbasscrat. When they arrive somewhere more conservative, they continue to vote dumbasscrat and f-up the new area as well, then move on.

Some people are too stupid to live...

Easy solution. All red states enact a LIT on all snowbirds.
LIT is LIberal Immigrant Tax. The rational is we need to recoup all the damage liberals do to the economy. Tax starts at $500,000.00 and goes up 50% for every Obama/Hillary or other lib. sticker on their Prius.

Good for you sappy. I’m still in CA and regularly doing research on better places to relocate.

On a separate but thread-related note, since Ohio is one of the states listed and it’s always a battleground state, perhaps some conservatives can move there to clean up the voter fraud, tip the scales and turn the state red.

The national government is actively seeking Third World people to bring in, give money to and register as a Democrat; Somalians and other Africans, Asians(who vote 70% Democrat)Mexicans and other Latins. They are then settling them in various once conservative states. For example, Somalians to the number of 60,000 were settled in Columbus Ohio; Michigan is an other locale turned Third World, the Northwest is being settled by Asians. California is Mexican, our law enforcement are virtually all Mexicans and blacks, the courts are being Mexicanized.( Guess who is going to win in a suit between a Mexican and a White!) As a result these once conservative localities of Ohio, Illinois, New York, California etc. are gone.

By the way one of the biggest conservative fallacies is the claim that Asians are conservative; they are not. They vote 70-80% Democrat. They receive huge amounts of welfare.

I think eastern Pennsylvania will enjoy a population revival because the growth of natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale (much of the shale is located in the eastern half of the state) is reviving communities in eastern Pennsylvania, too.

This is why it's so stupid for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to not allow fracking in New York State. Much of the Marcellus Shale is lcoated in upper New York state, and when drilling starts economically depressed cities like Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Utica could suddenly enjoy amazing turnarounds as natural gas drillers and all the support people along with them revive economic activity there.

I had some snowbirds from Minnesota renting my AZ place for a few months and they absolutely hate Zerobama. Would that exempt them from your proposed snowbird tax? If it can be made to only apply to liberals/progressives, I’d support it.

On one hand I am surpised that Minnesota is not on the list. But then again, Minnesota liberals do not recognize anything outside of Minnesota.

You bet. No Prius and certainly no Obama stickers. Obama worship among the faithful will not admit of heresy. They will never deny their leader and god. Thus those blaspheming Obama are ok in my book.
