HMOs, PPOs, etc are price-fixing cartels, not free market health CARE.

Given that Senator Durbin spent a few years in private law practice prior to becoming a public official and ward of the taxpayer, I have a question for Senator Durban.

What percentage of the total hours you worked while in private practice (i.e the free enterprise system) did you spend on pro bono legal work for the poor and downtrodden? Please provide time sheets detailing paid and no charge hours worked.

Durbin Criticizes Free Enterprise: ´Created Unfairness and Injustice´

Demagogues typically arguing the perfection argument to the guillible. Nothing is perfect, especially coercive socialist government. A free society can have these things, but minimally, especially compared to a coercive socialist society where unfairness and injustice are very high.

"A society that puts freedom first will have a great deal of freedom and equality. A society that puts equality first will have neither" - Milton Friedman.

The great achievements of civilization have not come from government bureaus ... The record of history is absolutely crystal clear …. that there is no alternative way, so far discovered, of improving the lot of the ordinary people, that can hold a candle to the productive activities that are unleashed by a free enterprise system …. We conservatives really need to start calling the Democrats out on their war against American liberty.

Liberals are opposed to individual liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The only real issue they have with chattel slavery in America two hundred years ago is that the slaves were privately owned.

They are all orgasmic over the idea of slavery to the state.

Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why enslavement by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane"on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.

Thereby proving that you no longer have to be black to be an Uncle Tom.

Hey, Dickie Turbin, the U.S. health care system was absolutely the best in the world before government gradually stuck its nose into it. And there was absolutely no groundswell of public demand for anything like your "Affordable Care Act." If it was such a good idea, there would be absolutely no reason for (to paraphrase Nancy Pelosi) passing it before seeing what was in it.

If the free enterprise system (which was not exactly controlling health care anyway, even before Obamacare) was so inadequate in delivering health care, why did so many foreigners travel the US from abroad to get medical care in the US, rather than stay in their home countries to get care under their socialistic systems?

Dickie Turbin, you are lying and you know it!!!

BTW, it's hardly a coincidence that Dickie gave this speech on the same day (ironically, April Fools Day) that Obama and Jay Carney were saying very similarly phony things about Obamacare and those "eeevil Republicans."

of course Durbin hates the free market. His job is dependent on zombie voters and socialism. Free markets reward merit. Politicians do not add to the economy.
