Apocalypse Cow - Obama EPA To Regulate Bovine Emissions

Regulation: The White House has released a Climate Action Plan that includes the targeting of methane emissions from cows and other barnyard animals that threaten the planet through belching and other, er, activities.

It's our lust for cheeseburgers that's dooming the planet through climate change, the Obama administration said in a Climate Action Plan released Friday that seeks to save us all from ruminant livestock.

Having already blamed the Industrial Revolution for what we used to call weather and temperatures that have flat-lined for 15 years, the White House is now targeting American agriculture abundance by slashing methane emissions from cows by 25% by 2020.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the "special digestive systems" of "ruminant livestock" such as cattle, sheep, buffalo, and goats produce methane, a more potent "greenhouse gas" than even the carbon dioxide we humans exhale or the exhaust from the SUVs we use to take the kids to soccer practice.

Exactly right! Cows are vegans and should be honored for choosing a life sustaining method of converting natural organic substances to energy.

How soon will the EPA ban the raising of cattle and ordering their mass slaughter in the name of glowbull warming? Of course Peta will be silent since this is their leftist comrades idea.

Only a federal government agency could come up with the
idea of collecting cow gas in a giant plastic bag.

I am calling BS!

It's not BS. Farts containe methane, a greenhouse gas.

Never mind that 99+% of all methane in our atmosphere is produced by decaying plant matter. Of course, paving the earth isn't very popular and doesn't make liberals feel as good.

There isn’t enough gas to sell in a lot of the wells. Landowners aren’t getting paid anyway, vented or not.

It would cost you more to get it to/into a pipeline than you would ever get out of it.

Most of the gas vented through the tanks is from evaporation.

There is some from production but most of it is used for the separator if your running a hot separator.

Exactly how does one control bovine methane emissions?

I fear that the only way to do that is to place a strict limit on the number of cows one is allowed to have.

Say goodbye to beef and dairy products. For the good of the environment, don’t you know.

I can’t comment because of insider trading and Sarb-Ox rules.

What you have posted is not entirely true for the Western Permina Basin.

How far would they have to go to get pipeline access?

A lot of times there is nothing close to access you would have to get pipeline rightaway across peoples property.

If an owner could make money off the gas they would sell it but it ends up costing more to sell than you get.

Most FLARE gas you see needs treating, too wet, too sour, too much CO2. With the current price of NatGas, , most producers just burn it so they can keep the crude flowing into the liquids pipeline.

Companies with field-gas treating capacity are making money hand-over-fist while supplying the chemical industry users on the Gulf Coast.

Think, “Saran Wrap” production.

>>They’re keeping the solution under wraps for now, but insider sources have revealed that the answer involves the application of natural cork.

I’m working on thwarting that plan by upping my consumption of wine using natural cork. It’s a bit of a sacrifice, but an important undertaking worth the cost.

Can someone photoshop a cow inside of a bubble or replace the bubble boy as an example of the government regulating cow flatulence?

If the EPA says you can’t flare it or vent it you have to capture it, what are they going to do?
