Summer Reese, the fired executive director of Pacifica Radio, says shes still not leaving the left-leaning organizations California HQ in Berkeley, and is now sporting an inflatable air mattress at her office....
Reese, 40, was fired by the non-profit foundations board in an 11-7 vote on 3/13 and was locked out of the headquarters. However, after cutting the padlock to get into the building, Reese has hunkered down for nine days (as of 3/27) with a team of supporters. Reese and 12 of her compatriots including Reeses mother, a longtime anti-war and civil rights activist refused to let Board Chair Margy Wilkinson, her husband and two of her allies pass.

That and related articles are fun reads until I realized that it’s just a miniature version of what’s going on in Washington.
Still, it was pleasant reading about how the occupier claims mismanagement, and then has tons of documents shredded, or about the midnight board of directors meeting when Reese was fired, and the refusal to call in the police, but willingness to spend lots of other people’s money on court cases.
One of the best comments was that this was a case of the Judean People’s Liberation Front vs. the People’s Liberation Front of Judea.

The raison d'être of NPR was to bring culture ... mostly meaning classical music, of course ... to the masses. Now, station after NPR station spends the broadcast day spewing rather blatant Marxist versions of "news events."
Mara Liasson, Nina Totenberg, Silvia Poggioli, Diane Rheem, repeating the same talking points hour after hour. They lavish praise upon Obama (May Peace Be Upon Him), Hillary Clinton, and lovingly interview gay marriage advocates, abortionists, transgendered performance artists, and queer major league ball players when they can find them. Today, they interviewed a professor of Russian Studies who was discussing the famine in the Ukraine created by Stalin in the 30s which cost some 10 million lives, and which was ignored by communist-sympathizing journalists. She says "not as bad as people have been led to think. Other regions were suffering, too," says the prof. Stalin was merely "trying to make food production more efficient," says she.
In my area, the main NPR outlets have stopped broadcasting classical music entirely, putting it on another new station that hasn't a clear FM signal. They spent $3 million and two years to bring me static. It's not all grim news. They do still play good jazz all night on the main stations. Sundays, they still do briefly interrupt the flow of Pravda-like news for "Prairie Home Companion," and "Klik and Klak, The Tappet Brothers."
But why must the tax payers shell out Millions for Marx, Bill Moyers, and Garrison Keillor and get short-changed for Mozart, with bupkis for Bach, and maybe a penny for Puccini? They'll even bump these guys if they can broadcast the tortured screeching of some Soviet composer who celebrates homosexuality on the collective farm.

Well these people should have been arrested for Breaking and Entering. But I have noticed that there seems to be something in the Leftist Liberal psyche that makes them believe that their jobs are their personal property.

Now you might not believe this, but I'll swear to it being true.
Many years ago, early/mid '80's, I was living in San Francisco (not for political reasons - it actually used to be a pretty nice place to live) and somehow won a contest they were having.
It was a "Lunch with Maya Angelou."
I honestly had no idea who she was.
Anyway, there were about a dozen people and it was at some chi-chi place in Bezerkely.
When it was over, and this is the truth, the "host" went around to everyone and asked for a "contribution for the station." A few minutes later I saw him and one of the restaurant managers deep in chat with much hand movement and hushed tones of seriousness.
It turned out that the station did not arrange this with the place, or if they did the place declined 'dine now-we'll bill you later' offer. They wanted their money now.
I thought this was hilarious. I excused myself to the mens' room and exited the place.
Never found out what happened, but it was an oft told story to some of my buddies at the bar.

So is the woman's husband named "Margy", and why won't she let her husband "Margy" pass?
Well, this is a lefty station, so it's quite possible, if not probable that her husband's name IS Margy.

Soviet composer who celebrates homosexuality on the collective farm. Even the Soviet commies were never nearly as depraved as our present day batch of insane cultural marxists.

If I want classical music on my drive, all I need to do is put a CD in the player, or hook up a music source to the in-car jack. And get much better sound.

Liberalism is an excuse for perpetual adolescence and the rationalizations that go with it.
