The raison d'être of NPR was to bring culture ... mostly meaning classical music, of course ... to the masses. Now, station after NPR station spends the broadcast day spewing rather blatant Marxist versions of "news events." If I want classical music on my drive, all I need to do is put a CD in the player, or hook up a music source to the in-car jack. And get much better sound.
