At the center of the seemingly incomprehensible case of Justina Pelletier lies one very simple, and unanswered, question:
What did her mom and dad do to lose custody of their daughter in the first place?
Gallons of ink have been poured on this story since last November, when a Connecticut TV station first reported the story of a sick teenager ripped from her family over a medical dispute between two hospitals. But having read every report on the case, including Judge Joseph Johnstons ruling Tuesday, I cant find a single claim substantiated or otherwise of bad behavior by Lou and Linda Pelletier before their daughter was taken from them.
Not one.
Defenders of the Department of Children and Families and Boston Childrens Hospital insist there must be something SOMETHING to justify the nightmare Massachusetts has inflicted on this family. A teenage girl who was relatively healthy, able to ice skate with friends while under Tufts Medical Center care is now almost immobile in a wheelchair, after more than a year of virtual isolation at a Childrens Hospital psych ward.
Theres got to be a good reason GOTTA be for DCF keeping this girl isolated from her family, allowing them to visit for just one hour a week always under the watchful eye of DCF agents and guards. A reason for not allowing her to attend school, or to attend church on Christmas or Easter.
We treat the accused Boston Marathon bomber better than this, for cryin out loud. So there must be a rational defense for what amounts to the abuse of a poor, sick girl.
Whatever that reason is, alas, it doesnt appear in the public record. And this is a problem. Because the state of Massachusetts has taken a child...

If the girl is a Connecticut resident why don’t the parents argue for Connecticut jurisdiction over the girl? May force Massachusetts to turn the girl over and the home state court can restore custody. I’m surprised their attorneys haven’t pursued that strategy yet.
Note to self... The DSM-IV classifies conversion disorder as a somatoform disorder while the ICD-10 classifies it as a dissociative disorder.
Here is the answer from the Blaze article:
“Judge Johnston also mentioned throughout the order that Massachusetts DCF had tried numerous times to have Connecticut DCF take over custody of Justina.
It was abundantly clear to this court then, as it is now, that CT DFC should have immediately accepted this case concerning Justina , the order stated.
So why didnt the agency take the teen into her home state if it was approached several times to do so by Massachusetts DCF?
Because they didnt see any reason to get involved, Staver speculated. Why would the get involved if they found no evidence of neglect.
Connecticut DCF did not immediately respond to TheBlazes request for clarification on this point.”
Thanks for clearing that up. Government is always an unruly servant and an even crueler master.
This is what death panels look like. When the get it wrong, prestigious careers and reputations are then the line. People who “...care about the children.” Protecting these esteemed people protects the greater good. How did you think it would turn out when a death panel gets it wrong? Did you think?
Kids are now owned by the state. But,then again, aren’t we all now.
Justina is going to die in government custody and when she does die the government will certainly blame her parents for her death saying they were negligent for not sending her to the state SOONER.....
This will all be a lie to establish cover for the people inside of Boston Children’s Hospital and the Judge they have in their pocket.
Why? The power of the state must NEVER be challenged. The wisdom of the state must NEVER be questioned. You do either, just watch. They will take your kids to remind you. And, if you are lucky enough to still be breathing we will throw you in jail.
Has anyone ever seen any reason stated as to why this child does not have a guardian ad litem?
In this case the police state and the doctors are one and the same ,, so I have to disagree.
This is done because the gØvt knows that her dad and the other ‘men’ in her family will do nothing but cry and wet their panties.
***************************
How do you see them fixing this... They are dead broke at this point which means that they are unable to kidnap and hide the girl... I’d like to see the children of the judge and the doctor that initiated the kidnapping targeted “asian gang style”...
The only long term solution the family really has open to them is to work the system ... and they DO have the Boston Herald on their side ...
Have any parents (especially out-of-state parents) brought their sick child to BCH since this story has been receiving attention? I’d go anywhere BUT there. I hope the Pelletier family owns that hospital, all the doctors and administrators involved, the DCF agents, and the county before this is over. I especially hope Justina survives the BCH care. And may the judge be damned.
The hits keep coming...

Summary:
A report from Massachusetts Auditor Suzanne Bump found that the state’s Department of Children and Families flunked an audit in that they failed to check whether registered sex offenders were living in or near foster homes and neglected to ensure all children get required medical screenings within seven days of being placed in Massachusetts care. We spoke with Massachusetts State Rep. Marc Lombardo about this scathing report.
What’s up with this?
In other news from MA, Chazz Baker wins the GOP nomination for Governor because his only foe failed to get 15% at the state GOP convention and thus won’t appear on the primary ballot.
Baker is as execrable today as he was 4 years ago. The entire MA GOP leadership is as moonbat as the Democrats and remain terrified at nominating a non-leftist for office regardless of level (and they wonder why the party is dead). I’m endorsing Independent Rev. Scott Lively for Governor. http://www.livelyforgovernor.com/
As for his pervert former running (I just started to type “rimming”) mate, Tisei, it looks like the Dems may sack Tierney in the 6th, as he has drawn several challengers. A new Dem candidate there should halt a Tisei win in November.
It is so obvious that her health is failing, and that something is rotten in Denmark between the judge, BCH, and DCF. Can nothing be done here -appeals?
What about Connecticut and the courts there? She doesn't even freakin live in Massachusetts?
And what about the judge's ruling-The parents were "abusive" after BCH took their sick child from them-AND STOPPED HER MEDICAL TREATMENT-This justifies her not being returned to them?!
Does the judge have some as yet undisclosed bias in this case? Does he have relatives and/or friends who work/worked for BCH or DCF? HisPlease ruling doesn't even make sense.
I bet most parents would be much more than "verbally abusive" if put in the same situation. The Pelletiers have had the patience of saints with these people.
There has to be some way to get her back home. The whole case is an outrage.
I wonder if there is a picket line around BCH warning parents not to take their child there and telling Justina's story?
The losing gubernatorial candidate is planning to sue over the convention vote; he was within 6 votes of forcing a primary. Bag job.
Baker: Speaking as a Jew, I view him as the Sovets vs. the Germans in 1945; the Soviets will give me mold-encrusted bread and dirty water in Siberia instead of burning me alive.
Tisei: A fag or a RAT. What to do... Not my district, so it’s not a choice I have to make.
#SHABBOS
I hope the good Lord blesses your children with good health and long life, but, if you are ever in a situation where the local talent doesn't know what to do, and the odds against your little one are long (I've been there), there is no better place.
