It can be bought on the Internet in flavors like chocolate and bubble gumand just a teaspoon could kill a child: The New York Times takes a look at liquid nicotine, the e-liquid used in e-cigarettes, which it describes as a "powerful neurotoxin ... far more dangerous than tobacco." And with good reason: Reports of accidental liquid nicotine poisonings rose 300% from 2012 to 1,351 cases last year, with 2014's figure expected to be double that.
The victims, many children under the age of four, can experience vomiting and seizures after being exposed to even a modest amount orally or through the skin.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune notes that the bottles often convey their flavors with potentially enticing photos of fruits or chocolate, which could attract youngsters; teens, on the flip side, may be combining it with energy drinks to get high, per Fox News Insider.
"It's not a matter of if a child will be seriously poisoned or killed. It's a matter of when," says a director with California's Poison Control System.

"If they're subsidized AT ALL, they're socialist bullshit."My mother was an R.N.. She'd come home and tell us stories about cancer patients. One particularly gruesome patient was a young girl who had smoked, cancer had eaten half her mouth away.
Made for horrible dinner conversation. Especially when you were having spagetti.
It's not socialist bullshit. You can't handle the truth!!!

It has been demonstrated that even touching a cigarette will cause a kitten to die. Puppies get diarrhea at the thought of cigarettes. Cigarette smoke from an apartment thirteen flights away will cause ones navel to fall out. One molecule of cigarette smoke causes nasal leprosy.

It is an established fact that even looking at a cigarette advertisement will cause a pus sack three inches in diameter to form on the tip of a male's genitalia and the pus formation cannot be cured.

I see you failed to address my point about subsidy.
If private entities want to spread such messages, that's fine, but it's not the government's job to leverage it with subsidy.
I think cigarette smoking is one of the silliest habits on earth, but I also believe that private business has every right to determine its own smoking policy, and not be dictated to by government.
Thus, if a restaurant offers a smoking section and you don't like that, then you're perfectly at liberty to go to a different restaurant which has a different policy.
The Prohibitionist mind is truly a marvel of authoritarian rationalization.

Government picks up the medical tab. They have a vested interest in stopping smoking.

Same attitude that got you banned from smoking in public places in the first place. Indeed. Thousands of conservatives have said enough is enough. The smoking wars are over. The smokers lost and now throw hiss fits.
Free people, freely voting, we have marched into voting booths and voted to restrict or tax the arrogant addicts who believe only their freedom counts. I refuse to kneel to their addiction.
I refuse to stand silent while they lure more children into the darkness of addiction. Don't really care what they do to their own bodies as long as they don't smoke around me and as long as I don't have to pay for their hospital stays.

Alright, that’s enough. In your honor, I will go out of my way to smoke a cigarette today. A Newport Menthol will be satisfactory...

Oh, let him rant. Just makes his side look even more absurd in their determination to rule over others.

"...because, as we all know, second-hand smoke is another issue the government needs to get involved in. Right, statist(s)?"It's like most laws. Someone abuses it and in the process infringes on other people's rights. In this case, the right to smoke free air.
And then we need a law. Y'all brought it on yourself.
It's funny how the very people that cause government to grow, often blame the other people for the new laws.

The North Carolina Dream Plant
Smoke the leaves
Make Belladonna from the stem
Pick the potatoes
Can the tomatoes
Slice the eggplant and fry.
All related in the Deadly Nightshade family ... which is why serious people assumed tomatoes were poisonous!
