I see you failed to address my point about subsidy.

If private entities want to spread such messages, that's fine, but it's not the government's job to leverage it with subsidy.

I think cigarette smoking is one of the silliest habits on earth, but I also believe that private business has every right to determine its own smoking policy, and not be dictated to by government.

Thus, if a restaurant offers a smoking section and you don't like that, then you're perfectly at liberty to go to a different restaurant which has a different policy.

The Prohibitionist mind is truly a marvel of authoritarian rationalization.

Government picks up the medical tab. They have a vested interest in stopping smoking.
