A court in Egypt has sentenced to death 529 supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.
They were convicted of charges including murdering a policeman and attacks on people and property.
The group, members of the banned Muslim Brotherhood, are part of a larger trial of more than 1,200 Morsi supporters.
Authorities have cracked down harshly on Islamists since Mr Morsi was removed by the military in July. Hundreds have been killed and thousands arrested.
The Muslim Brotherhood's general guide Mohammed Badie was among those convicted.

The 529 should be happy. They each get 72 virgins!
Some sanity from the Egyptians......
” They each get 72 virgins!”

But, they all look like Helen Thomas :)
Zero should be sent to Egypt to face similar charges for supporting Morsi. Fair is fair.
muslims killing muslims for being too muslim. My givaschit won’t kick over.
Egyptians... doing the jobs Americans won’t do... oh, wait a minute, McCain does not agree in this case... wonder the AlJazeera campaign donation why.
Morsi’s our man. Yesireee bob. He da man.
When Morsi is convicted and sentenced, wonder if he will actually rat-out Obama’s total involvement? Including Benghazi.
My Egyptian friends think he will. Who am I to disagree with them?
An interesting question, which begets even more interesting speculation over what Jarrett and the gang will do to prevent that occurrence.
That’s the way to get ‘er done
The Saudis are buying the ammo for the firing squad
> The 529 should be happy. They each get 72 virgins!
They don’t get 72 virgins; they get 100. Female virgins=72 and male virgins =28. But that’s muzzies for you. The kicker is that there’s a bigger trial coming up for for the rest of the 1200.
What happened to that liberal Google executive that was a major contributor to the overthrow? They need to ban his sorry azz too.
can we do that to obammy supporters here?
Can President Obama issue a last minute pardon and intervene on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt? Does he have the legal authority? (sarc).
In my opinion, there is nothing Val/Jar can do to influence Egypt. And I doubt there is anything that Obozo can either.
Was told by friend that Obozo was to have been in Saudi Arabia to meet with the King this week. But it was doubtful that he would even see him.
I am not fan of the Muslim Oil “Kings”, but I so relish the thought of Obozo being told go away, we won’t see you now.
