Afghan President Hamid Karzai has called on the United States and its Western allies to immediately get out of the country by the 2014 withdrawal deadline.
President Karzai told the US in his address to Afghan parliament that local security forces were strong enough to defend Afghanistan without Washington’s assistance.
The remarks come as Afghan military already protects 93 percent of the war-ravaged country.
The president also warned the US-led NATO countries against continuous meddling in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
"I want to say to all those foreign countries who, maybe out of habit, or because they want to interfere, that they should not interfere," Karzai said.

These guys always think THEY know a better way. It’s pathetic, sad and disgraceful to have launched two wars w/o a plan to win the wars and a plan to bring our troops home in a timely, safe fashion.
Then there’s the whole issue of having our children pay for the folly of these two wars.
Don’t get me wrong...I wanted the Taliban bombed back to the 1st Century...at least that would be a century they were comfortable with. But for whatever reason, we didn’t do what it takes to ‘win’ in Iraq or Afghanistan.
I want that despicable Karzai to pay for his treacherous behavior. I can’t imagine he would survive a nano second after we leave. I also imagine he and his family have socked away BILLIONS in various accounts.
And don’t get into Intra-Arab/Muslim squabbles neither.
I agree with you. We should. Since we never intended to settle any of this with finality, we should never have started it. All of theirs are not worth one of ours.

We tried to play ball with the war lords. Karzai owes his very life to us. The people we would like to help never had nor will have a chance. Let the big dogs fight it out. The Taliban will win and we’ll be better off out of there. Our guys made a very honorable effort but our own government sold them out. Get them out with the minimum loss of life today!
