KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — A Malaysian passenger jet missing for more than a week had its communications deliberately disabled and its last signal came about seven and a half hours after takeoff, meaning it could have ended up as far as Kazakhstan or deep in the southern Indian Ocean, Prime Minister Najib Razak said Saturday
Najib's statement Saturday confirmed days of mounting speculation that the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 with 239 people on board was not accidental, and underlines the massive task for searchers who already been scouring vast areas of ocean.
"In view of this latest development, the Malaysian authorities have refocused their investigation into the crew and passengers on board," Najib said, stressing they are still investigating all possibilities as to why the plane deviated so drastically from its original flight path.
"Clearly the search for MH370 has entered a new phase," Najib told a televised news conference.

So the prevailing theory is now this?:
* Co-Pilot and/or Pilot lock cabin door (either alone, or both)
* ADS-B/Transponder off
* Manual Pressurization ON, Outflow valve OPEN - Cabin depressurizes during extreme maneuvers - dive/climb. (Everyone in cabin dead after a short time.)
* Repressurize
EITHER:
* Some point prior to landing, ACARS OFF (no wheels down text to Rolls Royce)
OR
* Crash into the sea
Either way - INMARSAT pings continue until landing or crash.
Is it really that easy for someone locked in the cabin to kill everyone on board an airliner?
Perhaps our “ASN” knows what happened to that plane.
Muslims.
If they were going to crash the plane there would be no need to kill the passengers by gaining and losing altitude.
If the passengers were killed first the idea was to capture the plane
Not sure I find this “hobby” damning. He is a pilot, he likes planes...
I agree. I am a pilot and have a small AC simulator hooked up to my computer. There are many great programs on the market for flight sims. It is a lot of fun for pilots and can help with keeps certain skills up to speed.
With technology, if the passengers are alert some will have access to their technology. If the idea was to crash the plane, we would've known the plane crashed by now.
It's hard to imagine that there are secret negotiations going on at this point. A secret has never been kept this long. So either that plane landed somewhere and no one can find it or it crashed and there's no debris.
My head is spinning. Nothing makes any sense.
Some have suggested that Somalia (about 3,800 miles) was the destination. By flying slower the plane could go greater distance.
Another suggestion is that the plane was in somebody's air space, refused to respond, was shot down, and the past several days have been spent trying to find a way to cover up.
They would (try to kill the passengers) if the intent was to avoid a “Lets Roll!” scenario.

In a post 911 world killing passengers would be for preventing passenger revolt.
I agree, I think that part of the plan delayed the start of the navigation to the intended point of landing. Because they took the time to kill the passengers, they ran out of time/fuel to get where they wanted.
Good find. Our pilot might have been recruited for a similar mission.
This “mystery” is coming into focus.
I think the key to the mystery is not where, but who. Who was on the plane? Who was either behind them or wanted them dead?
I would also bet that several countries have intel that tells them exactly what happened to the plane, but they don’t want to reveal that they know. ...or maybe they were responsible.
