House Budget Chairman Paul D. Ryan told his local newspaper that Republican leaders do not have the votes yet to pass a rewrite of the nations immigration system.
We dont have the votes right now, the Wisconsin Republican told his local newspaper, the Janesville Gazette, in an interview Monday. Right now, were working hard to find where that consensus lies. Ryan said both the right and left are holding up an overhaul.
A poll of House Republican offices by CQ Roll Call found that just 18 members, including Ryan, publicly support the immigration principles Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio released in January.
I wonder how many support it behind closed doors?
There is a list of 19 US House Reps. who want to destroy American jobs, Jobs, JOBS by giving Amnesty to 30 million Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico, and their children born illegally in America.
Do you have a list of those US House Reps. who oppose Amnesty for the Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico, and their children born illegally in America?
The consensus is to follow Canaduh and get to a balanced budget. PDQ.
WTF are you thinking? WTF are you doing for/to the Country?
Who is running against this MOFO???? We need to get rid of him ASAP. Thank God we dodge this dang VP.
This clown can go fornicate himself. If I lived in his district, I’d vote for the Rat.
Ryan must be denied his job in the future.
There is only one immigration policy republicans should support - everyone abiding by the SAME RULES and following the LAW and immigrate in an orderly and legal manner.
Law breakers and line jumpers get the heave ho - and take their kids with them.
THEN the GOP can set about re-defining who gets the precious opportunity to come live in my blessed land.
They’ll have the votes...during the lame duck session post election. The GOP will knock out enough Democrats if the atmosphere is the same on election day as it is today to where they wouldn’t have the votes come January, so they’ll pass it while there are still enough Democrats to get it through and the Democrats remain in charge of the Senate.
That’s my prediction...not that I’m happy about this, but I would say that is the most likely outcome.
We ALL must understand that Paul Ryan is NOT a true conservative. He’ll sell out our military in a New York minute but WORK LIKE HELL TO ADVANCE ILLEGAL ALIENS.
They only need about 10 more.
They are waiting until after the primaries. Right now if they voted on it they would lose in the primaries, so they’re taking it off the table until later.
Only 17 or 18 republicans need to vote for it along with all the dems.
Boehner will ignore the Hastert Rule and allow dems to vote to pass it with his small group of moderate and RINO traitors.
I just got back from vacation in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Viet-Nam, Thailand, Singapore & Philippines. Was very impressed how strict every country is in checking status of people entering. My passport and visa’s were checked again and again and again along with my fellow travellers. Severe penalties exist for illegal entry in all countries.
Singapore has unemployment under 2%. There is a shortage of workers there. 30% of population is foreign workers with 2 year work permits. Singapore has no unemployment compensation from government. If you have no job, you don’t eat. So everyone finds a job! Highest tax rate is 20%. Signs of prosperity everywhere. Infrastructure is first rate.
It’s not immigration reform, it’s an effort to deal with the unwillingness to enforce the laws that exist NOW. Which begs an obvious question: why would any NEW law suddenly deserve more attention?
No Woulf, I’m sorry I don’t.
It will once the right votes in more RINOs “NO MATTER WHAT”
This would be one of those ‘whats’.
What a scumbag...
No wonder Romney picked him.
It’s doesn’t seem like Conservatives have enough time to build a coalition in Congress to save our country.
We’ve got a few excellent people fighting for us, but we need more.
