I was hoping one of the Texas FReepers would start a thread, but didn't see one. The Texas primary is today..several interesting races, but the BIG ONE involves Cornyn. When you vote...let us know what you heard/saw? What's the weather like down there?
Thank you for the schedule. As Texans, we’re somewhat responsible for how the rest of the primaries pan out, it is imperative we give our TEA brothers and sisters in those primaries some confidence and morale-boost.
It’s a big state ;-)
You’re getting a down-south version of what we had. Compared to below zero windchills yesterday, 30s do indeed seem balmy.
And 70s again by Friday.
If one of two runoff candidates drops out, the one standing is the automatic nominee.
I hope not! just reading his Facebook posts alone tells me people are pissed & voting for anyone but him.
Find it hard to believe he avoids runoff but...guess won’t know until later.
Sez who?
It would be grand if Cornyn didn’t even make it to the runoff. Is that hoping too much?
If there are exit polls, will that rascally Drudge post them?

Heh!
Just voted in Collin County, north of Dallas. Several candidates lurking outside, shaking hands, having conversations. Nothing I overheard was pro-Rat or pro-GOPe, it was all conservative instead of Republican or Rat.
Inside I had to wait for a machine to open up. There was probably 30-40 people inside. Almost everyone went to the Republican tables. I just saw two go to the Rat side, old guy with a cane, and one of Holder’s people. The voting location is close to my house, and the parking lot has been busy all day when I drove by.
Got my vote in for Stovall, Abott, Patrick, Paxton etc.
Also voted for expansion of religious liberty and 2A rights, and for the repeal of Ocare.
As the late Walter Conkite, used to say, “That’s the way it is”. If a runoof candidate withdraws, the race automatically ends. Never does a third contender move up to a runoff position.
Did you vote for George P.?
There are usually no exit polls except in presidential primaries. The establishment forces do not consider this a significant primary.
Yes, the establishment controls TX; Cruz is a diversion.
No, voted for Watts for the Land Office.
We missed early voting so went basically when the polls opened this morning. At that time there was one RAT woman voting and hubby and me. They were having problems with one of the machines but it was a machine on the RAT side, so who knows?
A man walked in and told the poll worker that he didn’t want to declare either party, he wanted to be able to vote for candidates in both parties.

Do you know about drop-outs in primaries? Would the one that didn’t drop out automatically become the winner? That doesn’t seem legal, what if the one that dropped out was, say, comatized today or before the runoff?
That's my understanding.
Marcella is the Texas elections instructor. She may have better information than I do.
