But 15 minutes after the voting should have ended, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had apparently secured only two of the five Republican votes he needed to join all 55 members of the Democratic caucus to pass the measure. He raised three fingers in the air and worked his way among his members but was met with folded arms and shakes of the head. Looking queasy, he patted his thigh nervously and drummed his fingers. In the hubbub, Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) knocked a full glass of water and coaster from McConnells desk to the floor.
Democrats, watching the spectacle, took the extraordinary step of ordering the Senate clerk not to read aloud the ongoing vote tally to avoid setting off a market panic; because the House had already left on a two-week recess, a failure of this vote would have left little chance of avoiding default on Feb. 27, when the Treasury was to run out of funds.
Watching the chaos from the side of the chamber was the man who caused it: Cruz, his hands in his pants pockets and a satisfied grin on his face. The Texas Republican strolled to the clerks table to check on the vote count and was met with a look of disgust from Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.). And the feeling was widespread: Moments after Cruz walked into the Republican cloakroom, four senators emerged from it and changed their votes to aye.

Should be Washington Post.
From the picture, I got the idea that this asshat is a biological male.
Translation: Do what the NWO tells you. Stop screwing up the tyranny.
I do love Sen. Cruz. Nicely engineered, Senator! I also loved the comment about Mitch McConnell: The verdict on McConnell is ultimately a decision for the voters in Kentucky. And I sure hope the voters of Kentucky recognize that they have a unique responsibility to do right by us next time around.
But he writes like a girl.
Milbank's a freaking idiot. Does he not see what has happened to American standing during the past 5 years let alone how badly the economy is already in the shitter?
Sen. Cruz only gave RINOs and weak-kneed republicans an opportunity to come out of the closet and show their true colors.
Senators who are so embarrassed by the way they vote that they do not want it on the record should evaluate their own beliefs and motivation instead of criticizing Sen. Cruz.
I read Milbank’s article Wednesday at the Dr.’s office. He is worthless. He lives in a different universe, D.C. I can’t stand that the regional paper features him but that is par for the course.
Marxist Mibank us worried there is a Reagan in the herd,

Wow, I copied your statement and want to post it everywhere. What you said is profound:
“Senators who are so embarrassed by the way they vote that they do not want it on the record should evaluate their own beliefs and motivation instead of criticizing Sen. Cruz.”
“But he writes like a girl.”
Well, like someone with neither brains nor balls, I’ll give you that.
Based on the title, I thought this article was about Mrs. Obama.
PS. Loved your rendition of “Sweet Jane”
