OUSTON (AP) — It was care fit for a king: The yellowing parchment was fitted inside a custom-designed aluminum and steel case with monitors, then wrapped in specially made packaging. Once it was on the plane, a canon chancellor nervously tracked the flight as it crossed the Atlantic Ocean.

That document, a rarely seen copy of the Magna Carta, had never before left England's shores and only once been outside its home in the Hereford Chapel near the Welsh border. Now, the famous charter, written nearly 800 years ago and considered one of the most important documents in the history of democracy, is safely ensconced in the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences, where it will be part of an exhibit that opens Friday.

Traced my lineage back to William d’Aubigny, of Belvior Castle, one of the barons who signed it. His descendents who came to the Americas changed their name to Dabney.

Just imagine the absolute impossibility of a ‘Constitutional scholar’ not holding Winston Churchill or Margret Thatcher in the absolute highest regard. The answer is, he’s NO Constitutional scholar. Pretty much the opposite in fact.

It is from that very document that comes our sacred right to never be compelled by the King to build a bridge.

I read a version in updated English quite a few years ago. I never could find anything about the right to keep and bear arms although I had been told it was there.

I did think it was remarkably intelligent for such an early age.

I wouldn’t doubt it. Feet on the desk, phone upside down, 100+ visits with the head of the IRS, Dick Trumpka at 11. He’s a drug addled, bisexual quasi muslime communist and a TOTAL FRAUD.

The only part o Obama being a ‘Constitutional Scholar’ is when he’s looking for loopholes.

You know the ‘talking heads’ from Charlie Rose to Larry King et all are truly stupid people when they side with a ‘Constitutional scholar’ who calls it a charter of negative rights. Those are fundamentally opposing ideas and yet nothing from those idiots.

The earliest constitutional prescription for the right to bear arms I’m aware of is clause 7 in the 1689 English Bill of Rights, the wording of which was clearly influential for the US Second Amendment.

It's still the first attempt in Medieval society at a balance of power and a recognition that monarchs shouldn't have absolute authority over others by divine right, and a vast improvement over the previous situation in England and the situation elsewhere in Europe.

You could just as easily criticize the US Constitution on the grounds that it was only "fine" if you were a property owner, and a white male one at that.
