Documents from an Ohio National Guard (ONG) training drill conducted last January reveal the details of a mock disaster where Second Amendment supporters with anti-government opinions were portrayed as domestic terrorists....
After excerpts of the report were read to him, Sims said it was not relevant to understand why conservatives may feel unduly targeted by ONGs training scenario. Okay, Im gonna stop ya there. Im going to quit this conversation, Sims concluded. You have a good day.

It is interesting that - to my knowledge - the MSM NEVER referred to the OWS protesters - many of whom described themselves as “anarchists” - as “anti-government.” But people who merely want a balanced budget and oppose Obamacare are called “anti-government.” Why weren’t the people who opposed Bush’s policies called “anti-government”?
First, they shoot our dogs. Next, they’ll be blowing away grandma in her house robe stepping off the porch to pick up the newspaper. No, I’m not joking.
Who are these National Guards training to protect? Themselves?
Make that 500 yards in my case, and get thee to an Appleseed.
I recall a discussion with a family friend who was an LtCol in intel in the USMC back in the mid ‘90s that dealt with this issue.
According to him, there was a questionnaire put out by the puzzle palace that was meant to poll reactions from the various branches of the military to orders from on highest to do a broad based gun grab on civilians.
The general (in an overwhelming sense) consensus in the Corps, at that time, was that it’d serve only to deplete life endurance companies of some funds since no officer giving such an order would survive the day.
IIrc the quote correctly, there was a division commander appended a statement to the questionnaire with the title “Sometimes, mutiny is the only proper response”.
They left out the target of the Shih-tzu puppy.
This is a totally outrageous government propaganda exercise to teach troops that right leaning patriotic citizens are the enemy and should be fired upon when commanded. The extremist scenarios are used only to demonize. Heads should roll over this. We cannot ignore this.
Why not a scenario of muslims attacking some infrastructure? Hasn’t this already happened?
Whose brilliant idea was this exercise?
Maybe the Ohio Guard is practicing for realistic training——— like shooting dead a coed getting in her car 600 yards away from the scene.
This story is up on the Drudge Report, left column, below the picture of Chuck U Schumer’s ugly mug.
The way to really put the kibosh on this crapola is to do a rewrite and republish of it in such a way as to upset the usual leftist screamers.
For example, publish that the Ohio National Guard are being trained to suppress a “negro uprising”, created by a presidential speech calling for violent revolution against “white people”. “Tens of thousands of black prisoners were released on the orders of the president, and issued Glock .40 pistols and 200 rounds of ammunition each, and told to riot.”
I’m sure a press release like that would go over *really* good with the usual suspects.
The ONG 52nd Civil Support Team training scenario involved a plot from local school district employees to use biological weapons in order to advance their beliefs about protecting Gun Rights and Second Amendment rights.Portsmouth Chief of Police Bill Raisin told NBC 3 WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia that the drill accurately represented the reality of the world we live in, adding that such training helps us all be prepared.
If they think that's a realistic scenario then they are not at all prepared.
of course. how else to push more gun laws and gun confiscations?
Moron.
With the conservative purge in upper military ranks, that may no longer be the case.
Hillary said they were “true patriots,” remember?
I hope that most soldiers and police officers believe in America above the reckless rogue Torie/Socialists in power if it ever comes to a fight.
CWII Ping.
The obvious corollary is that they expect no problem with hesitation when shooting at “traditional” targets.
I wonder why Rev-rund Al has had nothing to say on this issue.
