Metallica - Trapped Under Ice

I don't know how to live trough this hell
Woken up, I'm still locked in this shell
Frozen soul, frozen down to the core
Break the ice, I can't take anymore

Freezing
Can't move at all
Screaming
Can't hear my call
I am dying to live
Cry out
I'm trapped under ice

Crystallized, as I lay here and rest
Eyes of glass stare directly at death
From deep sleep I have broken away
No one knows, no one hears what I say

Freezing
Can't move at all
Screaming
Can't hear my call
I am dying to live
Cry out
I'm trapped under ice

Scream from my soul
Fate, mystified
Hell, forever more
No release from my cryonic state
What is this? I've been stricken by fate
Wrapped up tight, cannot move, can't break free
Hand of doom has a tight grip on me

Freezing
Can't move at all
Screaming
Can't hear my call
I am dying to live
Cry out
I'm trapped under ice

Fleet Foxes - White Winter Hymnal

I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the,
I was following the pack,
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go.
And Michael you would fall,
And turn the white snow
Red as strawberries in the summertime.

I was following the pack,
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go.
And Michael you would fall,
And turn the white snow
Red as strawberries in the summertime.

I was following the pack,
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go.
And Micheal you would fall,
And turn the white snow
Red as strawberries in the summertime....

From Winterreise.

Im Dorfe

Ficher-Dieskau singing. Note how Schubert uses the piano to imitate the sound of villagers snoring in the night.

It’s stopped but temps remain cold. So much snow fell in such a short time. Was like a blizzard.

Be safe my FRiend!

Die Post

Hofstetter singing. I've chosen the tenor voice because it's in E-flat, the pitch of the hunting horn used by mailmen in the German-speaking world when they arrived in a town for mail call.

Die Wetterfahne

Fischer-Dieskau singing. A perfect portrayal of cold, bitterness and betrayal.
