Baltimore District Judge Rachel E. Cogen on Monday called 51 y.o. Kimberly Leto's murder on January 31 "a tragedy … on all accounts" as she ordered suspects Alonzo Gorham-Ramos, 14, and Allen Pinkney, 16, held pending further developments in the case...Both Gorham-Ramos and Pinkney have been charged as adults on counts that include first-degree murder, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, and burglary...
Gorham-Ramos told Cogen he had a daughter. As he stood before the judge, he asked to be granted bail to see her.
- Gorham-Ramos had previously been arrested in a summer burglary of Leto's home...Authorities believe he returned there with Pinkney this weekend, and the two attacked her when she found them.
On Aug. 19, according to a police report, Leto told an officer that she was asleep in the living room of her home in the 400 block of S. Ellwood Ave. when she woke up to a 5-foot-9 black male in a purple hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Leto gave chase before she lost him.
Police investigated and identified Gorham-Ramos through fingerprints, court records show.
Nearly six months later, officers arrived at Leto's home after someone reported a suspicious death. A statement of probable cause filed in court shows they found her in her living room with multiple stab wounds to her chest and back. The rear first-floor kitchen window was unlocked and open.
Detectives believe the teens came in the backyard and brought a lawn chair up to the kitchen window. A bloody Adidas shoeprint had been left behind.
After learning of the earlier burglary, detectives brought Gorham-Ramos and his mother to police headquarters for an interview. There, police said, a detective noticed he was wearing Adidas tennis shoes that matched the shoeprints found at the crime scene.

On Christmas Day in Newark NJ, a 15 y.o. boy was enraged because another boy flirted with his pregnant girlfriend. He shot that boy and another - a 14 y.o. who was already a father and a 15 y.o. with a child on the way. Both died. He also killed a 15 y.o. girl who was taking out Christmas wrappings to the trash with her little brother, a good girl who happened to be in the way of his vengeance.
I have no idea what in the world you do with boys who have children at 14, and expect to be killed young, or to kill, and to spend years in prison, because that is manhood to them. No idea what you do with girls who have babies by violent young fathers who will never be fathers.
No idea except to stop feeding the beast, by which I mean the parasite culture. We pay people to make these babies who are messed over from the start, and then we try to come up with programs to rescue the babies from their wrecked-up lives.
Even if we did have programs that worked, and we don't, why would a sane society invest in creating children that need fixing?
Judge, what these boys did is an atrocity, not a tragedy.
Maybe what we've done to our society, including the violent underclass that wasn't always this bad, is both.

look at the EIC...my husbands niece did not work when her 3 kids were born...her husband earned fabulous money...
then divorce...
get got a healthy alimony check for several years and child care payments...
so now, she lives with her parents with her kids in a smallish house, and the grandparents are helping all they can....
she made less than 20 grand last year...not including her child care payments....and she'll get $8000 back from her income taxes.....when she found that out, she called in sick 2 out of the next 3 days...
we're fools apparently....
we've made it easy for these younger people to game the system...you can believe that many of them plan life events around how much EIC they'll get or how much free money or benefits they'll get...
and I suppose these are the nice boys that shouldn’t be punished in bammys and holders push to have no deterrents to “bad” behavior....

They robbed her two times. Were caught the first time and came back again. Very strange.
There have always been people who have sponged off their parents, and there have always been those who have sponged off the government (the taxpayer, that is), when the government was stupid enough to offer “spongeable” things.
But it’s just that this is now becoming so generalized, affecting blacks and whites alike. Believe me, I live in the South, and the rural whites around me are virtually all on the dole, which they supplement by sticking up the local 7-11 and killing the poor, hardworking clerk, usually an older woman. And these people, black or white, somehow feel “justified” in their “culture.”
That’s what the real problem is. Listen to any rap song that you hear coming out of a beat-up pick-up truck driven by a shaven-head white boy, and you’ll hear their life story. Drugs, money, welfare, rape, violence, and it’s all cool because Hollywood and Obama love it.

This woman was a RACIST for NOT having a gun! If she’d have killed these two, they could be honored and adored as heroes, like Trayvon! Because she was unarmed, they are just thugs! She ruined their lives!
I have two relatives who are cops in the Baltimore area and they are planning to move out of the state.
