Rep. Henry Waxman: The reason I’m leaving Congress
Washington Post ^ | 02/01/2014 | Rep. Henry A. Waxman

Posted on 02/01/2014 7:36:05 AM PST by SeekAndFind

I announced this past week that I will be retiring after having the honor of serving my Los Angeles constituents in Congress for 40 years.

Immediately, speculation began that I am leaving because I am frustrated with a broken institution. But the exact opposite is true: I am leaving Congress with my conviction intact that the legislative branch can be a powerful force for good.

Of course there are aspects of the current Congress that I abhor. This past week, every Republican on the Energy and Commerce Committee, where I have served most of my career, voted to limit the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to regulate carbon pollution that is causing climate change. When my colleague Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) offered a simple amendment affirming that climate change is real, they voted against that, too.

That kind of mindless denial of science is an embarrassment.

Voting over and over to repeal the Affordable Care Act, shutting down the government and threatening default are other deplorable examples of the extremism of tea party Republicans.

Science is simply a method that we use to determine how things work. But in the last few years the left has begun to treat "Science" as some kind of entity, like Robespierre's "Supreme Being"--a god in all but name.

Bingo. Sit around the house collecting the same salary, count his mega millions stolen from taxpayers and sucked up from bribes, enjoy his solid gold health care while others languish. Life is good.

Every breathe he takes is carbon pollution. Worse yet, it’s carbon pollution with no benefit. At least a factory that dumps CO2 in China is making something more useful than he, even if it is making rubber vomit.

When I read of his retirement my first thought was the cliche line at the end of heroic epics when the leading man says: "My work here is done."

With Obama elevated to semi-dictatorial status and backed by a Senate and mainstream media composed of Useful Idiots, it's no wonder Waxman can finally retire. He feels his work of undermining American Constitutional principles and replacing them with his long-sought Marxist totalitarian Utopia is securely underway. Younger traitors can now tie up loose ends in his footsteps.

If you look at each and every one of his “accomplishments”, no matter who supported or didn’t, what good, at this point, did it make? NOT A DAMN THING but it made him richer. GET out of my life, Congress, Obama, regulators!

Since we are talking about the Granola State, that is entirely possible.

I think that we need to revoke their “State card”, immediately.

Waxman (aka BatBoy), should have said that “When my COMRADE Jan Schakowsky.....

She’s as red as they come (doubt me, go to her data site on www.keywiki.org or www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org, and Trevor Loudon’s master tome “The Enemies Within: Marxists, Socialists and Progressives in Congress”, 2013, www.pacificfreedomfoundation.org). Then you’ll know that she is one of the Reddest of the Reds. Only Conyers and Danny Davis beat her, though Rep. Laura DeRosa (D-CT) is right up there in the top 5 or so.

Re “carbon dioxide” as a pollutant. BS and a double secret BS. If so, Mr. Batboy has been polluting the earth since the day he was born (besides his diapers) and he never said a word about it.

Just because one leftist court in DC says it is a “pollutant” (none of the judges are scientists), doesn’t make it so.

Many centuries ago, people (scientists, judges, rulers) said the world was flat and that was established fact. Seems Magellan didn’t get the postcard about it. Neither did Columbus or Americo Vespucci. Guess what? They didn’t fall off that officially declared “flat earth”.

The only thing “flat” back then and now are the heads of the idiots who declared something that wasn’t so. Today we call these people “stupid”, and they get elected to Congress, the White House, and appointed/hired for academic and science jobs.

Now you know why we are in such a fix. Stupidity and blindness is the “norm” and if you challenge the “norm” you are viewed as a nutcase, climate change denier, Neanderthal, or conservative.

Global Warming is NOT a fixed science despite the Left’s attempts to make it so (the Democrats are trying to make it unchallengeable in school science curriculums).

I have a science background and “Climate Change” takes place every day, in case the Left hasn’t noticed. “Global Warming” also has taken place, over many decades and centuries. Just ask the Pennsylvanian and Carboniferous Era plants (today known as “coal”), about it. So has “Global Cooling” (i.e. the Little and Big Ice Ages from 10,000 years ago to the Middle Ages).

The Sahara Desert was once full of plants and other forms of life. Today, not much. That was Climate Change you could document. Today, it is just as hot as it was a couple thousand years ago. Global warming? I doubt it.

Waxman is a 40 year example of a waste of a human being (and I’m being generous in this appellation). 40 years of polluting the air and minds and history.

That is what should be carved on his tombstone, and the sooner the better.

Holy Batcrap Robin. What was that thing! A “Waxman”? Never heard of it. A new kind of bat? Boy, he will scare every mosquite out of the sky. From California? Oh that explains everything.

They have forms of life out there that are unknown to mankind. Hope he doesn’t breed or mankind is doomed.

To Rep Henry Waxman (D-CA)

Three items Henry (oh, may I call you Henry? Sometimes Marxist don't like to be called by their first name): One, you being in congress for forty years is a testament to the term limit movement, and TEA party activism.
Two, of course everyone knows that there is climate change. Happens all the time (cycles of hundreds of years).
Three you imbecile, the sun controls our climate and weather, not SUVs, or coal fired electricity.

Henry, I hope the door hits you in the a$$ on the way out.

Can’t think of a single reason why I would want to read
anything this commie nut job destructocrat has to say. Good riddance to this worthless piece of garbage who has worked very hard everyday in the last 40 years to destroy America and, in the process, has enriched himself immeasurably at our expense.
