Last night Dartmouth held a debate featuring Bill Ayers and Dinesh DSouza. The debate started with 18 minutes for each man to speak and then time for rebuttal. It also included a cross-examination style question and answer between the two and several questions from the audience. Given the leftism that is so rampant in colleges and universities today, it was almost surprising to see that support for DSouza was far more than for Ayers. This article only highlights a few points made in the debate white supremacy, money in politics and social justice. To view the debate in its entirety please visit www.DineshDSouza.com.
Ayers spoke first in what was reminiscent of a beatnik who would talk on and on and on making no sense whatsoever. He talked about places and things he felt were great in America but never said that the country is great. DSouza came on strong talking about how great America is and why America is exceptional: The beauty of America is that we have the ability to write our own script. The two were vastly different in their demeanor and language. It was clear that Ayers still believes America isnt exceptional. He actually said it was arrogant for anyone to think that.

The last fella to ask a question in that debate had the big creepy factor. I could picture him shooting some place up, bombing or whatever. He is an Ayers disciple, no doubt.

For Ayers to call anyone arrogant is highly ironic.

I actually support one idea of Ayers.
We change the U. S. Constitution.
We place asterisks a plenty in the official version, with a foot-note at the bottom.
“Except for Bill Ayers”

Equally arrogant was this bomb making, earring laden SOB to call for more gun control, if not outright gun confiscation.

It’s true that Ayers comes off as an idiot, and Dinesh as a scholar, but I still think our side needs to learn how to head butt, throw elbows, and hit below the belt. This is not a Marquis of Queensbury Rule event. It’s intellectual war.
WFB knew how to do it with great eloquence, and he might have made it look too easy. The unfortunate side-effect of Buckley’s career is that liberals learned to avoid debating our brawlers, however eloquent. When Hannity can clean most of their clocks, imagine what the varsity could do. My teenager asked me why Rush Limbaugh is never on with Matt Lauer. I thought of Buckley’s explanation as to why Bobby Kennedy would not appear on Firing Line: “Why does baloney avoid the grinder?” Could Diane Feinstein last two minutes with Mark Levin? Ted Cruz against Barack Obama in an actual debate? LOL. We can dream. For now.

D’Souza says he is willing to go along with redistribution, but just not too much?

RE: I still think our side needs to learn how to head butt, throw elbows, and hit below the belt. This is not a Marquis of Queensbury Rule event. Its intellectual war.
At the Aug. 28, 1964 debate in Chicago - the penultimate encounter in the series of debate between WFB and Gore Vidal ( who was of course, gay but did not openly flaunt it then ), with an estimated 10 million people watching - things began with relative calm.
But it did not stay that way, and before long the men began exchanging words that one simply didn’t hear on TV at that time. Vidal called Buckley a “pro-crypto-Nazi,” a modest slip of the tongue, he later said, because he was searching for the word “fascist” and it just didn’t come out.
Inflamed by the word “Nazi” and the whole tenor of the discussion, Buckley snapped back: “Now listen, you queer,” he said, “stop calling me a crypto-Nazi or I’ll sock you in you goddamn face and you’ll stay plastered.”
Watch the exchange here:

Moderator, Howard K. Smith attempted to calm the exchange with “gentlemen, let’s not call names,” but the damage had been done. The two men, considerably subdued, met the following night for the last of their week of debates.
Is that what you mean by intellectual war?

I’ll settle for Ted Cruz vs Hillary Clinton in 2016.

I’m impressed. An actual debate instead of a pseudo-debate such as what our presidential candidates engage in.

Bill Ayers says The US Constitution is”There To Be Changed”?Perhaps we should start with The Fourth Amendment??He avoided jail-time(after his conviction was overturned)because it was determined that some damning evidence against him had been unlawfully obtained(The Fourth Amendment).Perhaps he thinks we should start there???
To: Misterioso
Well, even Hayek believed in a certain amount of redistribution in the form of a limited welfare system to serve as a safety net.

“our side needs to learn how to head butt, throw elbows, and hit below the belt’’>> As a former Leftie I have said this repeatedly to conservatives. “This isn’t a garden party madame, this is war!!’’ The only thing the Left understands is force. Either force of argument, force of will or force, like a Haymaker in the puss. They constantly talk pugnaciously about ‘’struggle’’, resistance’’ and such, well give it to them and give it to them good. make your case and don’t be afraid to paste them one too.

That’s because it was a real debate instead of a television production.

Yes, that is a great example. “Crypto-Nazi” deserves “pink queer” every single time, and twice on Sunday. I like to imagine that St. Paul said something similar whilst debating the philosophers atop Mars’ Hill.

10 At the Aug. 28, 1964 debate in Chicago ... I thought this occurred in 1968 during coverage of the National Democratic Convention in Chicago. Their feud lasted for several years after that, but WFB would never respond to questions about his "outburst."

I still don’t get how Ayers can even get past security to gain entrance to any campus.
It isn’t just the killing he’s participated in - it’s also the next level of killing he was aspiring to.
Bill dreamed of detention camps -and estimated 25 million dead.
He and his girlfriend celebrated the murder of Sharon Tate.
How can this guy even board a plane to go anwwhere?
And we are listening to his musings on the constitution because....why?
And one of our own agrees to a debate with him? Why?
To: cdcdawg
I think DSousa did some head butting.
