Tuesday night live on C-SPAN, President Obama outlines his agenda for the coming year when he delivers his fifth State of the Union Address before a Joint Session of Congress.
Leading up to the President's speech, C-SPAN sets the scene from the White House and Capitol Hill with perspectives from Former Speechwriter to President Obama Jon Lovett, Senate Historian Don Ritchie, and Gallup Editor in Chief Frank Newport.
Following the State of the Union, House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) delivers the Republican response. McMorris Rodgers is in her fifth term representing Washingtons Fifth District.
C-SPAN's live coverage concludes with viewer calls as well as reaction from social media. Share your thoughts via phone, Facebook and Twitter using #cspanchat.
Remember Lenny Skutnik? He was the first person invited to the gallery for a SOTU by a president (Reagan) for an act of heroism. Reagan didn't wait for the end to introduce him; he did it in the middle and then moved onto the rest of his speech.

never mentioned Benghazi once
just as we all predicted, he never brought up anything regarding the state of the union!!!!
Now it is time for his minions in the MSM to tell us what he said and how wonderful it was.
oh you must be referring to “poodlehead”.
“He really hasnt said anything.”
Then you weren’t listening - he will use his pen to try to take your freedoms, including your guns, give pay raises using that pen, start new education programs using that pen, starts highway and roads work using his pen, and on and on.
Ben Ghazi? is that a Senator?
>> “Ryan resign? why?” <<
.
You need to get off the cranial Novocain.
no Keystone XL mention
Mine is plan 82!
“It’s Kagan who goes hunting with Scalia”
You are absolutely right. I got confused as to which short little shrimp it was he hunted with. It’s Kagan. However, I still think Sotomayor may be going rogue. Just a gut instinct that especially on religious issues, she will side with the Catholic contingency on the SCOTUS. Actually, it’s John Roberts that I don’t trust any further than I could throw him. Another little shrimp with a Napoleon complex.
The dog grew impatient before you did? That’s some dicipline. I’m sure the dog felt better after a good cleansing. Bob
Did your puppy poop? Then you didn't miss anything.

not Ben Ghazi.the debt.deficit,92 Million out of work, the kaos in the middle east,,,NOTHING!
First thing you learn when giving an effective speech is to keep it tight, and keep it as short as possible!!! No matter how good the speech is....if it goes more then 20-30 minutes....you have lost your audience. That is why Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address (one of the greatest speeches ever) with about 300 words in just a few minutes. This Obama guy is not wrapped too tight and he is far from the sharpest knife inn the drawer!!! He has got to go. His Democrat buddies should force him to resign or impeach him. Dems.....November, 2014 is coming on very quickly!!!
