Just got a break to catch up on pings.
It’s clear and cold here, too. And, yes, snow is still around. With temps only in the 20s, I think it’ll hang around for a while.
Other than a little cleaning and shopping early in the weekend, we plan on hangin’ at the Beachy homestead.

It's almost 40 here and rain is threatening. I hate this weather in the middle of winter. Main streets are ice and snow free, just wet. Neighborhoods are sheets of ice. The only way I can get the mail is drive right up next to the box, open the door, hang on and get the mail out of the box, never taking my hand off the car. I'm standing on a huge ice cube, with my spikies, of course.
I will be spreading ice melt this weekend, and chipping ice on the driveway.
Oh, man oh man, wouldn’t I just love to be sitting there, every weekend!
If all goes well, my childhood girlfriend - who is the same age as me and celebrates her birthday two months after me - and I will be heading to the NC beaches in May (fingers crossed warm weather has arrived by then) to celebrate our milestone birthdays. I hope we can do exactly that at least one day while there.
Ma, now can you have 40 degree weather and icy streets? Is your ground still that cold?

LOTS of ice to melt and not all that much traffic to break it up in the neighborhoods. Do not even TRY to walk.

It’s 41 right now and the rain clouds are parting and the sun is peeking out. If it insists on raining in the winter, I hope the sun dries up some of the standing water. No drains are open, so it has no place to go.
