PROPOSED MISSION STATEMENT, AMERICAN SPRING 2014 (MARCH ON WASHINGTON)

As we, the American people, see our rights diminishing and our Constitution violated daily, we have become alarmed. We will fight to preserve our freedoms, as Ronald Reagan warned us to do – lest we lose the country we know and love.

Here are our demands:

1. OBAMACARE MUST BE OVERTURNED. This unworkable system will destroy medical freedom, and will affect every area of our lives. Medical information in the hands of the Federal or State government will be abused, used to deny us other rights, or used to control us. The costs of Obamacare are so onerous as to deprive us of our financial freedom at the most perilous point in our lives. Obamacare takes away our personal, private decisions, and puts that control in the hands of a government bureaucrat. The Obamacare bill was passed on many lies, and now those lies have been revealed.

2. THE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY MUST STOP MASS-COLLECTION OF AMERICAN CITIZEN ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS. Not even George Orwell, who wrote the horrifying novel 1984, envisioned a world in which every communication was monitored and stored for later use. This information can be used to blackmail, to determine political leanings, and ultimately to imprison or otherwise deny guaranteed rights.

3. AMNESTY FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS MUST NOT BE GRANTED. When foreigners come into our country, illegally and with no respect for the rule of law, our laws are diminished. Our culture is diminished. Our individual votes are watered down. Voters become disenfranchised. There is already a viable system to become a legitimate US citizen. Our immigration system is not broken – it is not being given a chance to work. Most of our distant relatives did things by the law and correctly. These people can too. NO AMNESTY.

4. CALL OFF THE REGULATORY AGENCIES. Like petty little tyrants, hordes of bureaucrats are swarming across America, making it harder to keep a company in business. The economy is suffering under the incredible burden of over 13,000 new regulations since Obama took office. Jobs are not being created, jobs are being lost to other nations who have no such obstacles to succeeding. If we are ever to turn this economy around, we must control these regulating agencies (such as the Environmental Protection Agency) before they choke the very life out of the nation and the nation’s economic engine.

Once we have PATRIOTS in control of DC, then we need to do more. Nothing will “stick” unless we also use this chance to dismantle the ENTIRE communist infrastructure.

Yes, we would need to have a new election as soon as practical. But that would be impossible before we spend time weeding out the traitors in the media, academia, Hollywood, etc. We also would have to quickly shut down the sources of leftist funding - such as the major unions and Soros-related groups like MoveOn.org.

Doing all of this will be a BIG project. But it will restore our Republic.

Freedom historically has rarely been achieved and once lost impossible to recover. We are not teaching our children to know History of America and the world. We so easily take for granted hard won success. and trivialize attacks against it. We have many immigrants coming constantly and they do not know our past. How DUMB! And yet we sit and do nothing, no marches in the streets, no riots, no appearing in Washington or other major government capital locations,, Pray for God's help in righting the wrongs America is doing today. We do not speak out, nor want others to know what our true opinions are. LOOK at Sarah Palin ... we know what she believes, she speaks out and is brave and not intimidated.

A wet blanket seems to be being thrown over this in some FR quarters. Any reason why? Is there something in the background of Colonel Riley we should be concerned with?

We will fight to preserve our freedoms, as Ronald Reagan warned us to do – lest we lose the country we know and love.

This is a nice idea, but I don't think it will come to anything.

We have arrived at a point where intimidation by the regime is becoming effective. This is going to move opposition out of the realm of demonstrative protests.

The "Arab Spring", like the events in Ukraine, "just happened". Longstanding repression was like a cork in a soda bottle, events took their course, and there was an explosion.

After Kent State, the era of mass antiwar protests ended. Abruptly. The stakes were raised, and the "peaceful" protesters left the field.

I have no doubt - none at all - that on our present course that American patriots are MORE likely than Tunisians or Ukranians to take to the field of battle someday, somewhere, somehow. The inciting event or events are at this time unknowable. In some sense, I think the regime wants this, they believe they can win a confrontation. Hopefully, they are wrong.

But the time of rallies and peaceful protest is drawing to a close, if it isn't already over.

One of my coworkers had an interesting idea, on the census years, all laws passed at the federal level expire, we, as a nation, return to only the document the founders gave us.
