The traffic scandal that has engulfed Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie may strengthen the prospects of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who has always been the default candidate for the GOP establishment and Wall Street.

Note how Ted Cruz has classily stayed out of this.
lol @ another Bush
JEB? Why would we want yet another illegal loving progressive? We don’t and I refuse to vote for him.
Now that you mention it, that’s true. Ted is not jumping to pile onto Christie at the first whiff of trouble, smart. Ted has been speaking out about our lawless President who ignores the role of Congress. That’s also a wise choice, stay focused on the big issues we all care about, like sweeping the dirt out of the Oval Office where everyone can see what has now become dirty and devalued.
The left would just LOVE for us to try and run another Bush.
And conservatives would rightfully stay home.
Ted Cruz is smarter than all of them put together.
All part of Hussein’s state-run media’s plan, no doubt.
Jeb is great for taking the attention away. He wasnt good enough in 2000 and hes a whole lot worse now, I don’t care how much more connected they are to the big fs they are than hil
Just uh uh. No
The republican left has had it's way in the last two presidential elections. Two liberal candidates both of whom did NOT connect with the base, did NOT inspire independents and got their heads handed to them by a fundamentally weak democrat opponent.
Time to get the republican party out of the shrubbery and nominate a candidate whose views are aligned with those of the American people as opposed to the Washington establishment.
Zero was supposed to have been so much more ...
Or zero is the last one and they're pulling the trigger soon.
Every year since I've neen in Jim's living room, the presidential campaign has started 5 years in advance (of COURSE that's exagerated, but you get the picture ..)
It's less than two years before election day and NO one has come forth .... yet.
i can’t even fathom how his name keeps getting mentioned. Walker is the one guy can appeal across parties.
I think I have had enuff of the Bush family. After seeing Bush the Latest refuse to defend himself or his policies and also not speak out about Obozo and his BS, the Bushies need to find an honest work. I am tired of defending someone who will not defend himself.
disgusting, pump up another alinskyite clinton, promote another new world order bush spawn, the people that voted for that fly infested hussein belshazzer of babylon deserves those for choices,
Outside of that joke Biden nobody on the left aside from Hillary is ever spoken of. Their eggs are all in one basket. Our side is more of a mess.
You’re right. We need to figure out who we need to support, and start the bandwagon for that person.
We also need to be on the lookout for the candidate the MSM will offer up as “The ONLY candidate who can beat” the democrat nominee. We need to refuse to buy that rhetoric, and we need to counter act their assertions. IMHO, Free Republic was severely damaged by the Rudybots, and their hysteria over She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
I must feel like getting flamed but Christie doesn’t have the base and Cruz will only have the grassroots. Walker is really the only viable candidate i can see. Same union busting credentials as Christie, comes from if not a blue state then certainly a purple one. He gets the Christie vote, the Cruz vote, midwest vote.
The Establishment will not pick our candidate again. Ever. To paraphrase what Mark Levin said last fall - Christie will become president over my dead body. And the same goes for Jeb Bush! Nobody would be happier than me if they both went down in flames.
