The National Transportation Safety Board says in a preliminary accident report that a small commercial plane that crash-landed in Hawaii waters floated for about 25 minutes before sinking.

I’m not aware of any information being released, I believe the autopsy was conducted 2-3 weeks ago(???)
"One of those annoying little single engine Cessna planes that fly advertising banners for "Hooters" and "Bud Light" crash landed after its engine failed right into the water off a crowded beach in San Diego over Memorial Day Weekend."
I thought AIR force one was bigger oh wait.
That’s not a Cessna.
They just needed to make sure she was really dead.
Thought so all along too..
No, that was probably an accident
Dead men tell no tales.
She was holding on to her assistant’s hand and then she went limp
Where was his hand? Around her neck? Holding her head under water? No one is asking those questions. His statement may be correct but is he innocent? Who has the most to gain other than O?
That was not a Cessna in the water.
Anyone know if the rescue team was told to “stand down” Benghazi style?
Thought maybe the Wikipedia article on her might give an answer to that — but there is NO Wikipedia article for Loretta Fuddy.
Is it just me — or does that seem very odd?
“Thought maybe the Wikipedia article on her might give an answer to that but there is NO Wikipedia article for Loretta Fuddy.

I’m almost certain that there was still a Wiki article on her Wiki right after the crash and that it included mention of her death from the crash.
The only Wiki mention of Fuddy’s death tonight, Jan. 1, 2013, is footnote #150 on the Wiki’s monthly, day by day list of deaths for the year. The footnote links only to a stub article on the Hawaii Department of Health. Indeed it seems that somebody’s been aggressively cleaning online house.
“Thats not a Cessna.”
To the idiots in the media every small aircraft is a Cessna!
Maybe so, but she is a non-person on Wikipedia today.
Search her name and it redirects to Hawaii Dept of Health.

It took 80 minutes for the rescue team to get there? I can only spend a few minutes online today so I can’t check this out for myself, but weren’t there news reports within an hour after take-off, saying there was one casualty - a fact that should only have been known after the rescue team had been there?
Couldn’t resist checking myself. What I posted earlier:
I found an even earlier report of the crash, at 4:25 Hawaii time, at http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/24198982/breaking-small-aircraft-crashes-off-kalaupapa?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

The crash was reported at 4:40pm Hawaii time, at http://www.kitv.com/news/hawaii/makani-kai-plane-crashes-off-molokai/-/8905354/23442094/-/139fxot/-/index.html
but it was not yet known who was killed. The crash happened about 3:45 so that report wasnt even a whole hour after the crash occurred, much less was reported to the airport tower and fire and Coast Guard crews out to make the rescues.

Looks like either the NTSB is screwing up/scrubbing the timeline, or else somebody reported a fatality before there was one. Or maybe both.
