I was in the WALMART in Rochester, NH, I was checking out the computer games when a Guy turned around the corner with what looked like GLOCK on his hip.

Open carry is legal in NH so I figures he was a Libertarian trying to make a point.

Good. Then more power to them. And it would be a good idea to have a copy of the store policy with them when the police arrive. Present it to the police and then point made even more strongly.

I am betting that there is a clause in the policy that leaves it up to the local store management to decide. Again, having a copy of their policy would be nice when the police arrive.

What he hell is wrong with the cop?

Part of the new gestapo of America. We are at danger of losing our guarantee freedom and rights. Police can no longer be trusted to know the law and respect the law. They seem to feel that they are the law and they are not. We are!

Did the store ask them to leave?

I thought the store did...you can see the mgr earlier in the clip...

Customers complained about open firearms...

And, why ask for IDs if there is nothing illegal going on?

Not sure about the state laws where this happened, but to be frank, some of these kids looked pretty young and I have no problem the LEO to ask for ID to check their ages...

Besides that, he was borderline asshat...

A police officer who is ignorant of the law?

The vast majority of LEOs out there will claim that they "ARE!" the law. If cameras had not been rolling there may have been a suicide by cop incident with the LEOs claiming that 'they' felt threatened. Tough $hatskies that "The People" feel/are threatened.

In all fairness, he had a right to ask for their permit and I.D. I assume that in Missouri you need a permit to carry. If you do not need a permit for open carry and he was sent to check things out, I guess he had a right to ask them who they were.

CONSIDERING the “attitude problem” of MOST Cops, I think he was not too harsh with them. In some jurisdictions the NAZIs would arrest you for merely photographing them in a situation like this and call it “interfering with a police investigation”.

He did seem a bit uncertain about how to actually proceed here and incidents like this are likely to recur with permits being available and idiots like that pedestrian who stopped to butt in walking around.

If you are a cop and you are sent on a call like this, you don’t necessarily know who you are dealing with until you question them, and with a potentially armed problem, you need to be alert.

So, in retrospect, I guess it wasn’t handled too badly.

Wal-Mart was in part at fault here for not posting the sign that firearms were not permitted and for not asking them to leave BEFORE they called the police.

He explained that one with a straight face.

He wanted to run the IDs to see if there were any warrants.

“Nevermind if you’re doing anything wrong now, I want to find something to charge you with.”

As a former LEO I can say this with some experience; LEA’s often hire a$$holes that are ex-football players / athletes because they need the muscle to deal with hardened ciminals. A lot of these guys are “my way or the highway” type of guys that have huge egos. If you even suggest they are slightly wrong the handcuffs come out. The best way to deal with them is not to debate or argue with them but try to reason with them if you have a valid argument. Its like dealing with a wild animal; no sudden moves and keeping calm works with them because they are like predators; if they see any weakness ro panic in your eyes, you’re done. Next time the gals will know to carry their license on them or a miniaturized verion of it if its just a sheet of paper. Not saying I aree with the officer at all; just offering advice on how to deal with LEOs like him.

I give the cop a pass here. I don’t think it was handled too badly.

I suppose that depends on where you are. Open carry of pistols is unlawful in Texas.

Notice what one girl had on her shirt. Bible verses.

Those pesky social Christian conservatives.

I think my attorney would be making a phone call on this.

The reason I prefer concealed carrr; for this very reason. Libtards freak out when they see them and act like they’ve never see one even though they’ve probably played first person shooters since 3rd grade...

Police can no longer be trusted to know the law and respect the law.

The plethora of laws a regulations now enforce will fill a fleet of tractor-trailers, not even the legislators bother to read them before voting on them much less the executive who signs them into law, no one knows them, just for a small example ObamaCare. So the LEOs get a pass on that.

"The business has the right to choose if someone is allowed to carry on their private property."

Does a business have the right to allow smoking in their restaurant. I mean it is private property right? Rights are given by God and defended by the Constitution. Or they used to be. Now it appears they are defended by the barrel of a gun.

Why a downloaded printed on tissue paper copy of the zero's FAKED COLB of course!!!

While wearing a mask of him as also.

And then claim that it's "racisis" that they even asked.

How silly of You to not think of that;)
