The 41 employees of Extreme Dodge in Jackson, Mich., are very familiar with trade-ins, but this year they’re learning about trade-offs as they come face to face with the new realities of health care. A few workers say they’re getting a great deal, but most have a severe case of sticker shock.

On average, about 21 out of 41 people voted for Obama.

If tObama voters are getting a bad deal, let 'em suffer.
They asked for it.

I have empathy for the others.

Bad edit on my part ;) Should read as...

“Because maybe then they will remember. Like a puppy whizzing on the carpet, they need their noses rubbed in it. Nothing for us to lose. They will likely vote liberal anyway.”

It’s really not that big a deal for us, btw. We’re both 60 and healthy. We also don’t expect to need a lot of health care. Maybe the occasional broken arm, etc. But that stuff costs less to repair than one mont’s health care premium.

Also, you may want to check these two out on youtube: The Beautiful Truth; Curing Cancer From the Inside Out.

One of my wife’s acquaintences beat stage four cancer using the Gerson therapy, no “real” doctors involved. The only thing we care to use them for is stuff like, as I mentioned earlier, broken arms. Most everything else we can prevent via diet or fix ourselves.

Health care in the US is a scam. We choose not to participate.

His first question will be, "What's a deductible?"

LOL. I wonder how many people think the "deductible" is what the Doctor deducts from your bill so you don't have to pay it.

From the article: “The biggest winner is Brandon Chisholm, a detailer with two daughters, who will get health insurance for the first time, and will have to pay virtually nothing for it because he qualifies for a big government subsidy. That means he can bank the $200 a month the company is giving workers to replace the health insurance it previously provided.”

Brandon may want to bank that money to help cover the deductible and copays for which he just signed up...
Hopefully he and his family are healthy and don’t require medical services.

The income tax was a way for the Democrats to steal a piece of the working mans WAGES. Obamacare is a way for the Democrats to steal a piece of the working mans/woman’s BENEFITS. They need that money to buy votes.

The bottom line is, if you work for a living you will probably get burned by obamacare.

Said the auto dealership “detailer” (car washerperson):
***Asked if he was excited at the prospect of getting nearly free coverage on top of the cash stipend, he replied, “Oh yeah! Anything that can help me and my family out, that’s what I’m going to do.”***

Note the parasite with no skills other than the ability to man a sponge and a brush/hose combo is being given part of the productivity of teh dealerships sucesssful managers, sales personnel, etcv.

There is a reason commies like Mr. SpongePerson vote for Democrats.

Workin’ At The Car Wash Blues
Jim Croce
Songwriters: Croce, James

Well, I had just got out from the county prison,
Doin’ ninety days for non-support.
Tried to find me an executive position,
But no matter how smooth I talked
They wouldn’t listen to the fact that I was a genius
The man say, “We got all that we can use.”
Now I got them steadily depressin’, low down mind messin’
Working at the car wash blues.

Well, I should be sittin’ in an air conditioned office in a swivel chair
Talkin’ some trash to the secretaries,
Sayin’, “Here, now mam-ma, come on over here.”
Instead, I’m stuck here rubbin’ these fenders with a rag
And walkin’ home in soggy old shoes
With them steadily depressin’, low down mind messin’
Workin’ at the car wash blues.

You know a man of my ability,
He should be smokin’ on a big cigar.
But till I get myself straight I guess I’ll just have to wait
In my rubber suit a-rubbin’ these cars.

Well, all I can do is a-shake my head
You might not believe that it’s true,
For workin’ at this end of Niagara Falls
Is an undiscovered Howard Hughes.
So baby, don’t expect to see me
With no double martini in any high-brow society news,
‘Cause I got them steadily depressin’, low down mind messin’,
Workin’ at the car wash blues.

(Lead break)

So, baby, don’t expect to see me
With no double martini in any high-brow society news,
‘Cause I got them steadily depressin’, low down mind messin’,
Workin’ at the car wash blues.

It will be interesting to see the effect of Obamacare on those whose incomes are based on commissions.

In a bad year, they get subsidies for their insurance, but when they work really hard and earn large commissions, their subsidies disappear and their insurance premiums skyrocket.

This is certainly a way of discouraging hard work by commission employees. We'll see how it works out.

“Bottom line here is that this report is in line with everything else we have heard about obamacare. a few people come out ahead. most are losers.”

Yep. Not at all the socialist calculus the Rats were counting on. Multiply this story by a few million and there’s gonna be a WHOLE lot of pissed off voters in November. Any Democrat up for election who’s not shaking in their boots is too stupid for consideration anyway.

Only one ad need be produced by the Republicans for each district, namely this ad with the picture changed:

NBC waited until AFTER the 2012 election to do this report, even though Obama signed Obamacare in March 2010.

Bottom line here is that this report is in line with everything else we have heard about obamacare. a few people come out ahead. most are losers.

One of the primary motivations for ObamaCare was racial. It was. As Moochelle said to a cheering crowd of primarily African-Americans: "We are gonna get healthcare for OUR people."

As Obama said just last October: "These people can now sign up for health insurance like anybody else!"

As if anyone was stopping them. The difference is, they now don't have to pay for "like anybody else."

Our health insurance payments are down to zero now, thanks to Obamacare. That is, we no longer have health insurance. We’re performing without a net.

Um, yeah, true to a certain point. You still get dinged 1% of your gross income the first year, eventually 2.5% - and that's if the creeps keep penalty tax rates the same for the uninsured.

On the other hand, if you move to Mexico or China and file under multiple TINs (even from the same address) for multiple IRS EITC refunds, you can collect millions in "free" taxpayer sucker money.

Your choice.

The article doesn’t comment on the tax implications of the $2,400 annual stipend. If it is treated as income, these employees will find their health care costs even higher.

Oh it's worse. The firm arranged for the benefit, probably paid for most of it, even though it may have been a cafeteria plan, and the employees received it on a tax free basis. Now they have to buy a Policy with after tax dollars, and only $2,400 as a stipend.

No mention if the company had a Flexible Spending Account i.e. a Section 125 plane available for employees that used to be up to $5,000 contribution and that is now $2,500.... Fubaring after Fubaring for all of us...

.........
the stunning thing is that a lot of people who are worse off as a result of obamacare — voted for the guy figuring that at worst they would be no worse off than they were before—and maybe they would get something better.

I wonder just what percent of these people are those who can be fooled all the time and what percent of these people can be fooled just some of the time. I really hope that not too big a percent of the people who voted for Obama are those who can be fooled all the time.

But I fear I may be wrong.

hey its dumber than this. all of these folk could have signed up for medicaid.

they didn’t need to go through the added bureaucracy of obamacare.
