Isn’t that the condition of most of West Virginia?
Wait just a darn minute there, I see a yellow extension cord!
;)
And a porch light to boot!
I'm gonna have 'lektrikity. Notice the laptop just inside the window? Duh?

I don’t know how “widow” fits in, but her husband was about 84 when he died in 2010.
Now, almost everyone in WV is on welfare and has an EBT, it seems. No more self-reliance, just government dependence. It's sickening.
What does international have to do with this?
UN Agenda 21 at work to implement Plank #1 of the Communist Manifesto, the elimination of private property rights.
A citizens group put pressure on the city and they abandoned that tactic and instead let people run up their water bills and then they attach it to the property taxes and issue foreclosure proceedings. Big Government is going for controlling every aspect of your life by holding your property as hostage.
Same thing here, if you go off the grid it takes away their power to control you so the answer is to make doing such things illegal.
I'm heading for that myself. Already have most of the material and the gear gathered up, I just don't know where I want to be when I grow up yet. I'm getting close, though. Winter has already been tough around these parts and it isn't even here yet.
bingo
and in communities with very few local ordinances, it’s a cake-walk
She should have kept her mouth shut and no one would have been the wiser. Every City and County now pays people called Code Enforcers large amounts of money to roam the City or County and make life as miserable for the inhabitants thereof. Don’t do anything to attract their attention.
Before it is over, they will.
Cape Coral is the city with no reason for being - other than developers and real estate persons needing customers. Nothing is produced and it largely exists on transfer money (retirees).
It has developed a city of bureaucrats with a tenacity only a pitbull could appreciate and the heartless predatory behavior a great white shark would envy.
Cape Coral AgencyPersons believe that everything which is not m,andatory is forbidden - and they are quick to issue violation notices.
Why so quick, voracious and heartless about any citable “offense”? Those citations lead to fines which pay the bureaurocrats salaries, that’s why.
No idea. There’s a lot of farmland in S. Dakota, however; some of it out in the boonies where you wouldn’t find an inspector, let alone a cop or a fireman. And Indian reservations, but I haven’t been to one.
The curleyque light bulb in the porch light is a nice touch. Glad to see the high level of environmental consciousness there.
Is that your second house? Your vacation place?
” How was she handling her human waste? If she had no water it might be hard. Especially if she is in a residential development.”
Call Home Depot and they will deliver a self contained composting toilet.
Just an idea.
Probably U.N. Agenda 21.
While this sounds rather innocent on the surface, a home can go downhill real quick if there isn’t running water.
How do you get rid of human waste? How do you bathe yourself? How do you clean your dishes? How do you clean up around the home? How do you clean your clothing, or your bedding?
That ‘international rules’ or whatever was a warning flag on the other end though.
Sounds like there might be some wing-nuts on both ends of this.
We’ll probably hear more later on.
May be... LOL
