In the LAW passed by CONGRESS they were quite specific that there were to be no enforcement mechanisms attached to the mandate and fine.
But of course, Soetoro may pass amendments to the law.
We do deserve a break. We’ve all been working too hard. I’ll hang out in jail and play cards with you fine people. Free food, cable, a gym. Plenty of sleep.
They were also rounding up an unarmed populace.
And so Barack won’t say they won’t use bull whips to enforce Obamacare either... sometimes even conservatives can get a little silly.
Didn't take long for the claws to come out.
The discussion went from quasi-penalty/fine collected if there was a tax refund at the end of the year to political prison camps!! (Yes, camps; there simply aren't enough cells for all the refuseniks)
As I've been suggesting, Levin needs to stop referring to the regime as a soft tyranny.
Given that he claims the power to make law and amend law, he SHOULD answer such questions as this one. No one has any reason to believe he won’t imprison people for failing to buy Obamacare.
If he weren’t habitually making law, he could legitimately brush the question off.
It might be telling that he’s thinking “well, I could wish it.”
But coming across as super-fearful before bullies isn’t exactly a picture of strength either. Better to mention the hunters that would be able to hunt traitors, and leave it at that.
This pissant dictator can put me in jail for not buying something I can’t afford. He’ll still be a pissant, because that’s all he has ever been, and I’ll still be a better man than he could ever hope to be. Being a political prisoner under this fascist government would be an honor.
Let’s not let this pismire give us more grief than he already does. He’s not going to care that he has given conservatives grief. He already knows he does. Time to stop simpering and start standing.
And anyhow, it’s well to remember that he’s a figurehead. Were the proverbial divine bolt of lightning to strike tomorrow, we’d be left with another figurehead, his name would be Joe Biden.
The mob that gives him his strength needs to be undermined. And that means Satan needs to be undermined. And that means God needs to be glorified.
Don’t underestimate the power of a glorified God. It is never ever too late; the only cost is our own prides.
He means REPUBLICANS who don’t buy health insurance.
Disobedience to any federal law is frowned upon in the courts, especially the federal ones. Just wait for a judge to put someone in jail for not having Health Insurance and the precedent is set.
It may come about because a man didn't buy insurance for his wife and kids. Maybe even because he could not afford it. But a judge could declare that to be spousal and child abuse; throwing him into jail. From there it could be interpreted broadly.
Welcome to the Brave New World.
But again, Barack Obama oughtn’t to have any say about this.
