Hillary under water in shocking new poll
American Thinker ^ | 12/03/2013 | Thomas Lifson

The news keeps getting worse and worse for the Democratic Party as it contemplates 2014 and 2016. The congressional wing of the part finds itself strapped to Obamacare, a disaster that promises to anger voters even more next year than this, with tens of millions losing coverage through employer-provided policies, and back-end website chaos leaving people who thought they were covered uninsured when show up at the emergency room.

But Democrats comforted themselves with the notion that the "historic first" strategy that worked so well with Barack Obama would repeat itself in 2016 with Hillary Clinton becoming the Republic's first woman president. The excitement over the 51% of the population that is female mobilized to push Hillary and the entire ticket to success has been almost the sole comfort for the donkeys.

But there are signs that this is as much a fantasy as the notion that if you like your insurance and doctor, you can keep them. Paul Bedard writes in the Washington Examiner:

"A new YouGov/Economist poll found Clinton, whose approval ratings have typically been sky high, with an unfavorable rating of 48 percent, more than the 46 percent who have a favorable opinion of her.

The YouGov pollsters said that the change in American attitudes toward Clinton "suggests that negative press surrounding the tragic September 11, 2012 attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which led to the death of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others, may have impacted views about Clinton and her tenure at the State Department."

During her time at State, Clinton's favorable ratings were typically 15 points higher than her unfavorable ratings."

I always believed that Hillary's approval ratings as Secretary of State were purely the result of the enthusiastic media coverage she received,

Who among them?

Coming out of a failed presidency, the field will be wide open. Some names - Warren, Biden, Cuomo, or some currently under-the-radar nobody, like Obama used to be.

What will stop Hillary is daughter Chesea, giving her grandchildren.

Ha. Hillary choosing between children - even her own grandchildren - and power is a no-brainer. Power wins every time with her.

If it is not grandchildren, it will be health issues that will derail Hillary. She is NOT YOUNG.

I remember watching that evil woman giving a speech the morning after the attack. The story about the video being the cause of the attack was weak and almost comical if not for the loss of life. However, knowing that bitch the way most of us have come to know her, made her utterances all that more evil. She could have cooed like a baby and I would still feel the evil oozing out of her. She is one vile, vile human being.
Should the country turn violently nasty in this country, please let her blood be the first to be spilled.

This is what I am watching.

btw, to all you bartenders who may encounter Hillary on the speechifying circuit, make 'em strong, very strong. In fact, make it a double...and another, and another.

Cuomo is going to go after Benghazi?

Ok. I’m not seeing that.

Not if it is Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin... which should tell you who we need to run against her.

Elect Hillary Clinton, so she can repeal Obamacare and replace it with Hillarycare.

Personally I don't think Palin ever want to expose her family again to anything like the campaign of 2008. However, if she ever did reconsider, I am sure she would fight a bare-knuckle fight, and what you only glimpsed during the 2008 campaign would come to full fruition: she would wipe the floor with Hillary Clinton. Remember even during the McCain campaign, when she was fighting with her hands tied behind her back, she was the worst nightmare the libs ever had encountered since Reagan.

I don’t see that way. Conservatives hear her, and what she has to say is constructive and consistent.

GOPe and the libs have completely tuned her out. The media effectively mutes her.

she has a different and important role, but she cannot win that fight. Not necessarily that she shouldn’t win it, but that she cannot.

I did say GOPe. I don't believe the GOPe can be defeated without an all-out war waged against the MSM that creates, promotes, and then dispatches of them.

I don't believe that fight has even started and I'm not sure when or if it will.

I don’t get this, and will never understand certain things.

We elected the first non-white president in Obama.

It’s historic and all that. Allegedly a step forward for race relations, diversity, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Against this backdrop of a presidency which has yielded such bad results in so many areas, we’re supposed to now be excited about the first woman president. Because it would be historic, break glass ceilings and all the rest.

And we’re supposed to be excited about that woman president being Hillary Clinton.

Even though Hillary supports the policies of Obama, and would continue those and worse if she became president, we’re supposed to be excited about breaking a new barrier. We’re not supposed to think about the qualifications of a candidate, or what policies such candidate will implement if elected.

Instead, we’re just supposed to focus on skin color or breaking barriers — the first non-white president, the first woman, the first openly homosexual president, etc. etc.

Can’t believe the way the world has shifted.

Yes it has... many of us are fighting as hard as we can and are backing the right people and organizations as best that we can. We will not lose for not trying.
