Gaying the Army
Its embarrassing.
Its divisive.
Its a disgrace.
And its a complete waste of your tax dollars.
The Department of Defence has today shown exactly how hypocritical it is. On the one hand its complaining that it doesnt get its hands on enough of the taxpayer dollar. And on the other, its producing rainbow-encrusted cuff-links for homosexual soldiers. And they are issued free of charge, even though they are not part of any uniform (yet).
Its all part of the process of gaying the Army, unleashed by the former Labor Minister for Defence, Stephen Smith. In fact, the Army is so interested in homosexuality that its latest tri-annual journal was devoted to analysing the role of homosexual culture in Australias military. In contrast, over the last decade this periodical has featured well over 300 articles but just a single one has explored the influence of Islamic thought on the adversaries Aussie Diggers have faced in two wars.
And that, right there, highlights the fundamental problem within the Department of Defence: it is more interested in social change than waging war.
The dearth of Islamic discussion in the Army Journal might be little short of criminal oversight, especially as it was written in this journal way back in 2005 that Western post-modern education prefers to study Islam without the sword and that Middle Eastern religious networks are not well understood in Western culture. But its recent focus on promoting homosexuality within the ranks is purely and simply nothing more than radical, socially-progressive military propaganda.
Defence has been hijacked by activists who are not interested in fighting and defeating an enemy. Instead, they are focused on using Defence to promote their grotesque social agenda. Thats why the Army cant tell you who the enemy is in Afghanistan and places Islam above criticism. But it can tell you that it encourages homosexual political activism and uniformed support of those who mock Christianity in Australia. The Armys decision to issue gay cuff-links and lapel pins to homosexual soldiers is the latest manifestation of this. And its occurring even though Defences own policy documents state that inappropriate advocacy of a particular sexual orientation is sexual harassment. If there is one thing that inappropriately advocates a particular sexual orientation, its issuing jewellery to promote homosexuality a concept that makes normal Australians shudder.

Part IV. Of the Kingdom of Darkness
Chap. xlvii. Of the Benefit that proceedeth from such Darkness
When the fairies are displeased with anybody, they are said to send their elves to pinch them. The ecclesiastics, when they are displeased with any civil state, make also their elves, that is, superstitious, enchanted subjects, to pinch their princes, by preaching sedition; or one prince, enchanted with promises, to pinch another.

A veteran of WW2 and Korea, he wrote of the amount of homosexuality in the military during the war.
As a homosexual he would have known.
My father as a young 16 year old recruit was rescued from and protected from a homosexual group on a troopship heading to Africa by an older group of men. Dad had never heard of homosexual practices prior to this encounter, and could not believe it. He thought them men were joking.
World War II?
I find your story hard to believe.
what part?
Once upon a time, I didn’t give a flying damn about queers and who or what they did in bed with.
Basically, I was a live and let live type. And that’s because I live in a different lifestyle myself.
Now, I HATE them.
Their INYERFACE confrontations have turned me SO AGAINST THEM, that I will NOT give them ANY QUARTER, NONE!!!
HEY QUEERS! HEAR ME? YOU ONCE HAD A FRIEND, NOW YOU HAVE A DEDICATED FOE.
And its all YOUR fault.
And I HOPE YOU DON’T LIKE IT!
Hey, GUESS WHAT FAGGOTS? Other people have RIGHTS TOO!
The HYPOCRISY just p!$$es me off to no end.
Your Dad was too young at 16 to be in the Army unless he had special permission from his parents. 17 was the usual age needing parental permission to enlist.
There were thousands of troops on a troop ship and there were few, if any, homosexuals, let alone a gang of them in such close quarters.
Your Dad is to be commended and thanked for his service.
Unfortunately, not as hard to believe as you might think.
Queers have been around for a LONG time. They gravitate to places where the targets of opportunity are many.
There is an old book, based on fiction, I think it was called "Tattoo."
It was a fiction based on fact type (from a young boy's point of view) that described the pervasiveness of queers in the army.
At any rate, the military was absolutely correct in weeding out these types.
They are emotionally and mentally unstable and undermine unit cohesiveness so critical to mission.
Now I'll get flamed beyond belief.
Not on a crowded troop ship during World War II. Let alone a gang of them. There were very few homos in the military during WW II.
I never heard of or knew of a homo in the Army when I was in.
Just effin damn, typo twittery strikes again.
It should read: "book, based on FACT..."
Whoo Boooy, time for bed.

My father lied about his age and at the end of WWII they were none too picky. This was his great independent adventure. Many of the men he traveled with were rejects from earlier in the war/older married men..

this is my Father’s story: There was a group of men who were chatting him up on the ship in the area that he was assigned. They made much of him.
He was approached by some other older men who pulled him aside and told him that the men were homosexuals and what they were interested in doing. (probably not in those words)
My father came from a very comfortable and protected background (country day school etc) and actually didn’t believe them older men. He had not ever heard of such practices. He thought they were mean or joking.
So he continued to hang out with the other group. And then one man touched him. He got up walked over to the men who warned him and said, You were right. They made room for him and kept an eye over him for the rest of the trip.

Next time I am at the cemetery I will let him know.
Yup, and I believe you, because "WHEN YOU WERE IN" it was an offense that would get you a dishonorable.
Doesn't mean that it "wasn't there."
It was, you just never maybe ran into it.
In my capacity as Police Petty Officer, I ran out no fewer than 9 men for queer offenses against other men.
It was there, but in those days, it was deeply hidden.
Sorry trooper, you are living in lalaland.
Queers have been in military camps since BC.
It was just harder to weed them out.
Your Dad had a rare experience.
My Dad was in World War II — China, Burma, India Theater of War.
I don’t need to see my Dad’s grave to think of him.
