The Marine Corps may have to change its physical standards in order to put females in positions to one day lead infantry platoons in combat.

Both the Marine Corps and the Army continue to wrestle with the mandate that former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta issued in January, directing the U.S. military to open hundreds of combat-arms jobs that have been closed to female servicemembers.

So far, the Marines have been out ahead.

Read post 77 again, you failed miserably, disgustingly.

I haven’t seen such a disgusting post in years, it was also as childish as they come, especially the part about GIs having the least invested in serving in the military.

If you had a point or an insult to make to that poster, you proved grossly incompetent at it.

Actually, I’ve said nothing about my own service (or the family members still in the service). You have assumed much, proving my point...

...part about GIs having the least invested in serving in the military.

You need to read again. I never said anything about GIs serving in combat. I said those who feel the need to boast about this or that usually have the least to boast about on the subject (John Kerry... who I heard served in Vietnam and won many medals... he must be more patriotic than all of us)...

“When will they lower the SEAL standards?”

Maybe they could have an all-female unit and call them BEAVERS.

Sorry, it’s been a long day already.

Read your own quote of mine that you are citing, I didn’t mention combat either, your ramblings are just getting worse.

I haven’t seen such a disgusting post in years, it was also as childish as they come, especially the part about GIs having the least invested in serving in the military.

As the SEALs have said, more men pass than they accept, they take what they need of that class who pass, and washout the others.

“The Marine Corps is in no way looking to water down MOS specific standards.”

What they’re looking to do and what the political brass shove down their throats might be two very different things.

BEAVERS huh?

Not a bad idea at all. Have you contacted the Secretary of the Navy with your idea?

PT? It’s the dirt, the weather, getting shot at, dirty clothes, no showers. It ain’t the training, it’s the living, or trying to. It’s something that happens on the battlefield, not the base.

If you have served, then you seem to have a bizarre sense of humor.
