Obama: I need to 'win back' public's trust
Washington Examiner ^ | November 14, 2013 | Meghashyam Mali

President Obama on Thursday said he would need to “win back” the trust of the American public after the botched rollout of his health care reform law.

“I think it's legitimate for them to expect me to have to win back some credibility on this health care law,” said Obama. “That's on me."

Obama’s remarks came as he announced a fix that would allow insurers to renew health plans that fail to meet Obamacare’s requirements. Under the new health care law, millions of Americans were expected to be dropped by insurers and be forced to seek new plans often at higher costs.

The cancellations, which came despite Obama’s repeated pledge that consumers could keep their plans under the health law, coupled with the technical glitches affecting the healthcare.gov website, have hurt the president in the polls and undermined support for his signature domestic achievement.

I'll take that any day as well, just don't see it happening to that degree. I really hope you're right, let's get to the end of this Bambicare opening stretch, all I see now is how he's going to pretend everything is okay, he's going to fix the wrongs everyone else has done and 40% of the country will forgive him, agree with him, and he'll continue to destroy the country daily as the media and dems continue to save his ass.

I hope I'm wrong, I'd love to see this as a turning point, but it's premature to say we've hit that point.

Well, we can dream. I would be happy with an Impeachment, a Criminal Trial and a swift Execution, but that’s just me.

If they locked him in a Cell with Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Sandra Fluke, while piping in Rush Limbaugh 24/7, it would do my poor old heart a world of good.

Same here. I was mildly curious about the guy the first time I heard about him. About ten minutes later I had him pegged as a hard-core, street hustling leftist.

Ditto.

That's what I've been trying to say, Lake. This is different. It's personal. People are going to suffer and die because of a law that Zero and his accomplices forced down the American people's throats. Do recall that a high percentage of citizens said they didn't want this, and the Dems pushed it through anyway.

Well, now it's time to pay the piper for their 'win', and the price is far higher than the Dems ever calculated. Guess they never read what was 'in it', did they? Real suffering and death will follow in the wake of what they've done.

They can't blame the Republicans (with any credibility) because the Pubbies didn't lay a single fingerprint on it. It wasn't a Republican President who tirelessly championed this thing with a pack of lies, then signed it into law.

Not every Zero voter is a brain dead 'gimmedat' zombie. Many of them are in that pool of Americans who are going to be injured by this. These are people who have a brain, and are now getting the severe reality adjustment of their lives.

Now that would be real justice. Over half the country would be crying tears of joy if it came to that.

But, but... it is only 5 million who are impacted by these changes. Only 10% actually have to buy their own health insurance. The rest are insured by their company.

Frankly, I hope they all get dropped and get a good dose of what the unwashed self-employed have been dealing with for decades. It’ll be good for them.

And, next year about 2/3 of those insured by their company will lose their policies, too. Putting off the Employer Mandate for a year only delayed the next catastrophe for a year.

It's disingenuous for the administration to talk about "only 10%" or "just 5 million". The deluge comes next year.

Sure Obama, which is why you're suddenly issuing an Imperial Edict to stop the pain. For the 5%. Or the 10%.

What happened to, "It's the law of the land!" when half the country was begging you to abandon this?

Tell you what.....those low infos who are seeing their health care plans evaporate, and who now see their costs skyrocketing, ain't buying this bs at all. They're listening to Obama on TV and throwing shoes at him.

Yeah, Bubba sure did stir up a sh!t storm in the White Hut, didn't he? In no time at all, President Promise was trying to figure out a way to stick to his word. For once in his worthless lying life.

Increasingly there is bad blood btwn His Highness and Her Thighness. Wouldn’t it just really upset the Klintoons apple cart if The Messiah resigned his Presidency which would allow Joe Joe the dog haired boy to take over. He would then run for outright erection and Hitlery would be left in the cold. Barry could trot off to his armed outpost in Hawaii and laugh for eternity.

That's debatable, but I take your point. I never felt that he hated this country, or wanted to "fundamentally transform" it.

Liberal Democrat? Yes. Radical alien Marxist? No.
