Complete Headline: Whopping 932,000 Americans Drop Out Of Labor Force In October; Participation Rate Drops To Fresh 35 Year Low
The only two charts that matter from today's distorted non-farm payrolls report.
First, the labor force participation rate, which plunged from 63.2% to 62.8% - the lowest since 1978!
But more importantly, the number of people not in the labor force exploded by nearly 1 million, or 932,000 to be exact, in just the month of October, to a record 91.5 million Americans! This was the third highest monthly increase in people falling out of the labor force in US history.
At this pace the people out of the labor force will surpass the working Americans in about 4 years.

I wonder what would happen if you focused the study on the labor force participation rate of Obama’s core constituency...
It might show some interesting trends. I sincerely believe that he and the left are trying to reverse the slavery model.
I consider the U6 unemployment figure to be a more accurate measure of unemployment than the U1-U5.
I believe the real unemployment figures are far far higher than reported.
For years, John Williams at Shadowstats.com has been applying current economic data to the government's historical definitions of various economic indicators (they change their algorithms as politics mandate). The above shows the current result of his exercise.
The ShadowStats data IMO is a much, much more accurate look at the total unemployment numbers for the US.
And Sec. Lew came on CNBC and said that the labor report proves that Obama’s policies are working! All he needs is cooperation with increasing minimum wage and immigration reform!
935,000 on disability and ebt cards and rat voters!
On Friday, the Labor Department reported that 720,000 Americans left the labor force. This exodus pushed the labor force participation rate down to 62.8%, the lowest level since 1978. One out of three adults in neither working nor actively looking for work.
Some observers attribute the sharp drop to the shutdown and the furloughed federal workers. Even if that were the case, and it is unclear why these workers would be counted as not in the labor force, the number of Americans exiting is still significant. The total number of adults not in the labor force in October rose 935,000 to almost 92 million.

In 2008 he said he wanted to reverse Reagan. He’s done it.
The corruption is rampant at the top and bottom of the ladder because that’s what the crooked embedded politicians want. They want to spend other peoples money to get reelected.
Every individual on disability, welfare, Section 8 housing and other payouts should be searchable by name and address as well as their immigration status. Suckerberg of Face Book says there should be no anonymity and it needs to start with taxpayer payouts.
Every special crony corporate deal and subsidy should be searchable and transparent too such as the payouts to big oil, Wall St via taxpayers and the Fed.
The government checkbook should be an open book as well as the appointment calendars of those in Congress.
Ah and something else. The Section 8 landlords also need to be identified too as they (and some I know claim to be conservative) get rich by tapping on taxpayers and tearing down good neighborhoods. They are like NFL owners who get rich through crony political deals where taxpayers build them new stadiums.
The system is corrupt from the top down and that’s the way the political elite have rigged it, while they keep us arguing about politics.
And the Lyinbastardlibs wiil claim that unemployment has dropped!
Not so fast. Are you aware that it is illegal to refuse to take a section 8 tenant for that specific reason, unless you live in another unit of the 2-4 unit housing?*
You have to evaluate all tenants by the same standard, credit score for example. You could require a minimum 750, but you'd have to require it of all applicants.
*Here in NJ, anyway.
My suggestion was simply that every Section 8 landlord needs identified on a searchable data base by address and name, as well as all others at the top and bottom benefiting from taxpayer/government handouts.
The “I’m just obeying the law while sucking on the teats of taxpayers and destroying the quality of life for others in that community” doesn’t cut it with me. Poor shouldn’t mean crime, and it shouldn’t mean more profits for slumlords.
They need to be identified as well as tenants.
