The Betrayal of Ken Cuccinelli
National Review ^ | 11/5/13 | Maggie Gallagher

Posted on 11/06/2013 6:54:56 AM PST by cotton1706

They said he was “unelectable.” The RNC put only $3 million into this race. Ken was outspent by a margin of something between 4:1 and 10:1, if you believe the Associated Press.

The Democrats poured everything into trying to lie to voters and portray Cuccinelli as an extremist — and they barely pulled this one out.

Would another $3 million have swung 50,000 votes? The Republicans, starting with Bill Bolling, who undercut Cuccinelli as unelectable have egg all over their faces.

This was a winnable election. How did we give this away to Terry McAuliffe? Some serious soul-searching should be taking place among the anti-tea-party faction.

Scrooge the GOP-e and their ilk. We TP’ers are sticking with the foundational principles and if we go down with the ship then so be it. Eternity is recording what and who we are while on this temporary earthly life.

This one is on Eric Cantor. He has some ‘splaining to do. Starting with why his former chief of staff who plays for Team McAuliffe is still doing consulting work for him.

Do NOT give even one penny to the RNC. When they send you prepaid return envelopes in their solicitations, return those empty to them.

Nope. If its postage paid, I’ll fill it to the max with blank paper.

It will interesting to me to see the reaction of all the suckers in VA after McAwful and the Clintons loot the state treasury...and trust me...THEY WILL! I’ll be out of the country before they finally figure it out!

“...GOP has betrayed my values and beliefs. The election in VA was winnable. They will no longer get money from me or my vote. No longer concerned with voting for the “lesser of two evils”...let the political chips fall.”

There are MANY conservative Republican candidates. Support THEM. Don’t fall into the Progressive’s trap and become either discouraged (I struggle with that sometimes) or, worse yet, defeatist (I NEVER struggle with that).

I will support their individual campaigns but will no longer contribute to the collective pot of the GOP RINOs.

Here's the next AM talk radio urban legend:

It was the 2013 Tea Party shutdown that dropped Obama’s approval to 39% and got all those people mad that Obamacare canceled their insurance. It forced Obama to... ..(dont know yet ...fill in later).........just like in 1996 when Clinton balanced the budget’

yep

Cheer up, FRiend. TEA won this election. RATS stole it by funding Sarvis to siphon votes that would have sent McA to hell where he belongs.

This is not lost on RAT operatives, and GOPe operatives.

Let’s take out Warner as Senator as our repayment. With national TEA financing for whomever steps up.

So says National Review, who have been cuddling up with the GOP-e

So says Maggie Gallagher, actually, who has been fighting homo marriage for more than a decade. It sounds as if you're lumping her in with RINOs or cowards.

There was no excuse for the Republican party to have not exposed the Libertarian candidate as a ringer, early on. How could they have not known that he was being supported by an Obama bundler? How could they have not exposed his big government ideas as not Libertarian. If the Republicans had done some opposition research on the phony Libertarian, Cuccinelli would have won.

A big part of the new Libertarian movement is not Libertarian at all. I see it in WA State and I am seeing across the country. The WSJ has a lot of Libertarians that post there, some of which, openly declare that they are closer to Liberals than they are conservatives because they are Liberal on social issues and don’t mind paying higher taxes. That’s not Libertarian. That’s a fifth column.

We need to carefully vet all candidates, Tea Party, as well. We don’t need another Todd Akins, either.

We told the RNC to take a hike years ago.

People here still act as though there exists a meaningful difference between the GOP and the Democrats.

Approaching American politics with this delusional misconception ignores (by design, perhaps) the fact that, for the last 100 years or so, the goal of BOTH the Democrats and the GOP has been to keep the voters divided, and move America inexorably toward a One World future while the players (House and Senate) feign deep opposition to each other in public while laughing up their sleeves with each other behind closed doors.

We are idiots for ever having bought their play-acting, and if any real change is ever going to have a breathing, kicking chance it wll be because we've decided we don't want to watch this tired re-run any more, nor do we wish to any longer pretend that the two-party system has any intention of serving "We The People."

In fact, the biggest sham ever foisted upon America (after "Atheism" and "Darwinism") is the idea that there are two opposing parties fighting for control of D.C.

There are not.

We have the Democrats, who want to boil the frog today, and the GOP, who want to boil the frog slowly so that the sheeple never really catch on to the jape.

I'm through being a tool. I've decided that being a finger-puppet with the GOP's middle finger up my crease is not how I want to spend what years I have left. Screw them and the horse dung they spew. I'm going apolitical, and I'm going there fully provisioned and well regulated.

Voting is for imbeciles who either accept, or at least don't mind perpetuating, this putrefacted status-quo. When you idiots are ready to pull your shorts up, stand up straight (you've been bent over at the waist for years!), wipe the Crisco off your rumps and begin the fight to save America, let me know.

I'll be locked, loaded, and waiting for the ball to go up.

Obama's army of unfairly-entitled minorities are already waging the opening skirmishes against good people everywhere, and the total conflagration which will burn for years is just a stiff wind away from consuming this land and everything we ever loved and fought for.

There is a final solution, but it won't be found at the ballot box. Of this I am finally persuaded. All that remains of our "two-party system" is the hollow laughter and empty mirth of having been the butt of the worst joke ever told.

Never again...

;-\

Whenever I used to think GOP, the first mental imagery that came to mind for me was warmly comfortable visage of Ronald Reagan. For decades. But in the past few years, after seeing the GOP’s backstabbing treatment given Palin and the tea party, coupled with the Party’s constant betrayals on everything from amnesty to family values, that first mental imagery has been replaced by a knife in a human backside.

This is just further perpetuated by the VA race.

The future of America was clearly illustrated last night when a good man who has served the people of Virginia honestly was beaten down by hustlers, cheats and liars who pandered heavily to latino voters by promising amnesty. The latino vote was also quite likely illegal in a good percentage.

My guess is that this was a solid indicator that our next president will be Hillary Clinton.

But they pulled it out and that's really all that matters. He may well have lost by 80%, the end result is the same.

Can you imagine ALMOST winning World War Two?

Conservatives better wake up. Results are the only thing that matters.

There is no victory in defeat TX.

The only silver lining I see in his is that the traitorous and treacherous GOP has exposed itself again.

Question is will enough people see it? I’ve no idea, because a lot of people are damn stupid.

“How did we give this away to Terry McAuliffe?” ... Um, the vote counters now elect whomever the oligarchy selects to promote. We The People have been usurped and just haven’t admitted it yet.
