The Betrayal of Ken Cuccinelli
National Review ^ | 11/5/13 | Maggie Gallagher

Posted on 11/06/2013 6:54:56 AM PST by cotton1706

They said he was “unelectable.” The RNC put only $3 million into this race. Ken was outspent by a margin of something between 4:1 and 10:1, if you believe the Associated Press.

The Democrats poured everything into trying to lie to voters and portray Cuccinelli as an extremist — and they barely pulled this one out.

Would another $3 million have swung 50,000 votes? The Republicans, starting with Bill Bolling, who undercut Cuccinelli as unelectable have egg all over their faces.

This was a winnable election. How did we give this away to Terry McAuliffe? Some serious soul-searching should be taking place among the anti-tea-party faction.

Never give a penny to the GOPe umbrella organizations.

Donate directly to TEA Party candidates that you support.

Completely agree.

The GOP wants our money and our votes, but not our principles.

To hell with this one-party system.

Virginians, you have elected a serious left-wing, millionaire, Clinton loving cretin as your governor.

He lost because the GOPe didnt help him enough?

We were supposed to count on them for help?

I believe the fix was in. Whenever a Republican loses a race he could have won I believe it’s because the elites in Washington are making backroom deals and stealing money - our money.

I’m starting to hate the Roves, Mccains, et Al, as much as the Dems. And why not? They are the same folks..

I just posted this on another thread and think it fits here too:

It's time we all face the music and realize that the GOP is NOT our party. It's the Tea Party vs the republicans and the democrats. They're in bed together to protect the power that they share that is only endowed upon them by an ever growing big governement.

They are our enemy. I will never, ever agian vote for anyone simply because he has an 'R' after his name on the ballot.

Look at what backstabbing republicans did in the Virginia election:

1.Lt. Governor Bill Bolling refused to endorse or in any way support any of our ticket and allowed mcawful to use damaging quotes attributed to him to attack Cuccinelli.
2.Virginia Beach republican mayor Will Sessoms endorsed mcawful and made commercials for him.
3.The rnc stopped sending any funding to Cucinelli on Oct. 1. leaving the candidate unable to effectively counter the lies and smears heaved on him by his opponent.
4. Out Lt Governor candidate was criticized and lambasted by the state GOP for taking radical positions. He said he was pro life and pro traditional family!
5. gop Rep Scott Rigell, (my rep, who will never again get my vote) went on TV several times to make sure that everyone knew that he thought our ticket was fringe and radical and the he was specifically NOT endorsing EW Jackson.

OK guys...I get it. I don't need a brick wall to fall on me. You don't like us and right now I hate you (gop). We're done. Through . Kaput. Yesterday I voted for Cuccinelli, Jackson and Obenshain but left the rest of the ballot blank because I couldn't find a single candidate on it worth the powder to blow him to hell. I see a lot of similar ballots in the future unless a lot of us get our act together and fight for Tea Party candidates like there was no tomorrow becauseif this shit keeps up there soon won't be!!!

Do NOT give even one penny to the RNC. When they send you prepaid return envelopes in their solicitations, return those empty to them.

The RNC, as currently constituted and staffed, is proving itself to be an actual enemy of true conservatives and Constitutionalists. Give any contributions you may want to make DIRECTLY to conservative candidates and conservative PACs such as the Senate Conservative Fund and SarahPAC.

I’m growing weary of the GOPe.

Exactly.

GOP better wake up or even the gold plated, bona fide, long term RINO’s are going to start falling.

They can’t be counted on now, but in the past, they supported good candidates like Cuccinelli. They spent $9 million four years ago, and third of that this time...knowing the opposition was going to ratchet up spending in a big way. The DC party is systematically eliminating conservatives to retain their own power. They botched the shutdown and then blamed Cruz. They eliminated 2010 tea party winners during redistricting. They are going to let good candidates they don’t control twist in the wind. This was not true a few short years ago...at least not at this magnitude.

So says National Review, who have been cuddling up with the GOP-e ever since William Buckley gave up editorial control of the publication. National Review has been part of the problem, giving voice to anti-Tea Party grumblers and Big Government Republicans. Saying “tsk tsp” to the Rove-ian forces after they have inflicted their damage is a day late and a dollar short.

the only two political parties in the US are the patriot party and the criminal establishment party. Put in another way, the truth party and the liars party, God’s party and Satan’s party...................

Winning is the Republican candidate who sees the truth and counts on the GOP as the enemy.

He lost because the GOPe didnt help him enough?

BS, I say.

McAweful won by 2pts. The libertarian candidate received 6pts. If not for him being in the race, Cuccinelli wins by 4.

Next Libertarian you see, give him a hearty middle finger “Thank You!” salute.

Seven percent to Sarvis is what sank Cuccinelli.

It was an easy decision for the RNC to make:

Money for Chris Christie, Obama Pal and establishment pol?

Or

Money for Ken Cuccinelli, favorite of the hated and despised Tea Party?

You know the MSM will leap to the GOPe's aid if they sense trouble from the right.

They wouldn't want anything bad happening to their favorite stooges. And the GOPe knows it.

Even the Democrats wanted Christie to win....Christie wins without a dime from the RNC.
