A retiree was walking his German Shepherd, Jade, in a park in Birmingham, England, on Thursday afternoon when she suddenly ran toward the bushes, laid down next to a bag that had been left behind, and refused to move.
When owner Roger Wilday got closer, he realized that the bag was a carrier - with a baby inside. Wilday ran to a friend's house nearby to call the police.

Police released this image of baby Jade, who was named for her canine hero.
God often sends guardian angels to help us, sometimes though instead of wings and a halo they come to us with a waggy tail and covered in fur!

No they didn’t shoot the dog silly this happened in England! But the police did severally chastise the dog.

Wilday ran to a friend's house nearby to call the police. I wonder if he took the baby with him to make that call, or if he ran off and left her in the park. A small detail, I know, but this did jump out at me.

I’m surprised they are allowed to have this kind of dog in England.
I mean just the name of the breed, German Shepard, is hateful. I mean the German part dredges up the old nationalistic ideas of the past and have no place in the current European Union.
Then there’s the word shepard. It’s religious implications and meaning imply that the government isn’t doing enough to care for people such as this baby. Its downright hateful and terribly offensive.
