The airport says on its Facebook page that “ law enforcement officials are responding
to a threat received around 4pm ( Central time) The terminal has been evacuated” .
The FBI’s bomb techs and Joint Terrorism Task Force are working with the Birmingham
Police Department and airport authority to try and “ resolve the situation”. There
are also reports of a suspicious package found in the airport.
