I'd agree that Sommers is very smart, up to a point. If you watch the first couple of seasons of 3's Company, she is NOT a ditz. It was her decision to make her character stupider, and the ratings took off.
But she and her doofus husband overestimated her appeal by the 5th season and asked for so much $ that it would have made the show too expensive to produce.
Thus she was written out. And John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt hated her for years, because she was messing with a top 10 show in its prime.
She DID eventually make it back to the big-time with her business ventures, but not as a big time TV or movie star.
BTW, Janet all the way, before she fouled up her face with that stupid nose job. Can't beat that dancer's body.
Cindy was good looking, but so stupid I couldn't stand her.
Terri was great looking, and smart. But by the time she came on the scene, 3's Company was running out of steam.
Congratulations on your healing. God bless you with continued good health and long life.
The article says "...dog lying on an MRI"
CORRECTIONS AND AMPLIFICATIONS: Also, the cover of a Macleans magazine issue in 2008 showed a picture of a dog on an examining table with the headline Your Dog Can Get Better Health Care Than You. An earlier version of this post incorrectly said the photo showed and headline referred to a horse.
I like Pacifico, what Beer are you drinking? LOL
Yup.
She’s very well read and educated about health care issues.
Suzanne Somers has “written” some wonderful books about health. One that everyone should purchase is “Knockout,” about actually fighting and besting cancer without chemotherapy and radiation. Today’s oncology is so very primitive, killing the immune system rather than working with it to keep the patient healthy and allow them to beat the cancer or live a long healthy life with cancer cells aboard. Her books are usually chapter by chapter from experts in their fields, not her. I highly recommend the Knockout one, especially if you know someone with cancer.
I’m not surprised that she doesn’t fall for other popular scams (obamaCare) since she knows about the entrenched scam that is today’s cancer industry.
My B-I-L used to run a Business in Malibu. He became friends with Suzanne and her Husband over the years he worked there.
He told me many years ago that they are a wonderful Couple and Suzanne is as sharp as a tack. Her image belies her true self. She is a self made Millionaire and is as nice as can be. No Diva there, that’s for sure.
i was critical of bush 41 and 43. if anything it could confirm she’s conservative.
I never once watched that show, although I do remember it. It must have been on in my college years.
“I wouldnt have thought that likely in the usual WSJ readership.”
the WSJ blogs have been mawssivley invaded by paid Kommie trolls. I’ve never been successful in creating a blog account there no matter what I do, so i suspect the only way to comment is if you have a paid subscription. So the Obammunists have ponied up for a bunch of cheap online subscriptions so they can overwhelm legitimate commenters there. Basically, they make a lot of noise to drown out the real comments. Pretty standard Kommie tactics.
Thank you.
I feel I over reacted to your original comment. I’m a year and a half out now but the raw nerve is that I watched my mother die of breast cancer. When medicine could not offer a cure, she was drawn to the alternative medicine crowds who sold her herbs, extracts, juicers, supplements and exotic fruits all smiling and telling her about all the people cured of cancer just like hers.
It still makes me angry and I responded to you like you were one of them. That is not how I want to treat people.
I apologize and I will try to separate my personal emotional baggage from random people on the internet.
Again, thanks, and God bless you.
I absolutely took no offense to your comments. God bless!
Yikes, not even Larry would hit that.
Good gosh. That’s awful. And the irony is that a simple MRI would’ve saved money!
I agree.
Blondes just don’t do it for me. What can I say?
Thank you for telling us about Suzanne’s book “Knockout”.
I received it today and read Chapter One.Very good. Fortunately, I had read her “Keeping Secrets” so I knew who her relatives were who came to the hospital during her crisis.
Thank you again , I will study it thoroughly as I have a friend diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
