The following script is from "Benghazi" which aired on Oct. 27, 2013. The correspondent is Lara Logan. Max McClellan, producer.
When Chris Stevens was killed in Benghazi, Libya, on the anniversary of September 11th last year, it was only the sixth time that the United States had lost an ambassador to its enemies. The events of that night have been overshadowed by misinformation, confusion and intense partisanship. But for those who lived through it, there's nothing confusing about what happened, and they share a sense of profound frustration because they say they saw it coming.
Tonight, you will hear for the first time from a security officer who witnessed the attack. He calls himself, Morgan Jones, a pseudonym he's using for his own safety. A former British soldier, he's been helping to keep U.S. diplomats and military leaders safe for the last decade. On a night he describes as sheer hell, Morgan Jones snuck into a Benghazi hospital that was under the control of al Qaeda terrorists, desperate to find out if one of his close friends from the U.S. Special Mission was the American he'd been told was there.
Morgan Jones: I was dreading seeing who it was, you know? It didn't take long to get to the room. And I could see in through the glass. And I didn't even have to go into the room to see who it was. I knew who it was immediately.
Lara Logan: Who was it?
Morgan Jones: It was the ambassador, dead. Yeah, shocking.
Morgan Jones said he'd never felt so angry in his life. Only hours earlier, Amb. Chris Stevens had sought him out, concerned about the security at the U.S. Special Mission Compound where Morgan was in charge of the Libyan guard force.

We do know that, about 10 PM Washington time, the President was in touch with Secretary Clinton. We know this from her statements.
And we also know that, within thirty minutes of this conversation, Clinton initiated the protest demonstration/anti-Islam video cover-up via Twitter.
It seems a reasonable assumption, then, that the subject of the phone conversation between the President and the Secretary of State was the formulation of a baseless lie to camouflage the actual circumstances of the attack.
Evidently, the only action the President took regarding the Benghazi attack at the time it was underway was to authorize the issuance of a cover-up based on a known falsehood!
I’m not up on the timeline for Ambassador Stevens. Was he still alive at this point?
I think CBS is doing a CYA here. They are seeing Obama’s Presidency disintegrating before their eyes.

I never watch 60 min. can’t stand it. It was on the radio as I was driving home. Laura Logans voice and questions are so irritating. She sounds like she thinks we are all 2 yrs. old. typical of most main stream media. They think they have to explain it to us little people.

Nobody has gotten mad, I mean indignantly mad over this, and until someone does, it’ll keep getting swept under the rug... Obama, Hillary et all are flat out evil people, how long America can you tolerate evil people in powerful positions...

However being the liberal CBS, they chose to air the report on a night when BOTH NBC Sunday Night Football (the most watched program every week) AND The World Series on Fox would keep the viewing audience as small as possible.
The liberals know how to control the media.
Yeah. Barry & Hillary were soooooo concerned that they didn’t even have the compound secured once the shooting stopped. Didn’t some journalist find the Ambassador’s journal in the rubble replete with comments about the deteriorating security? This certainly looks like a planned assassination on a grand scale. Oh, yeah, no mention of what the mission was in Benghazi...nothing about that gun running to the rebels in Syria.
I actually think it was a botched kidnapping....
They knew the attack was going to happen, and they already had the info on the video. This whole thing was planned.
