There was little chance of defeat, when Aledos undefeated Bearcats faced Fort Worths Western Hills on the football field Friday.
The final score, 91-0, though, led one parent to file an official complaint of bullying against the entire coaching staff.
Aledo ISD administrators say the complaint suggests the coaches should have told players to take it easy on the competition. I would never ask our kids not to play hard, said Aledo football coach Tim Buchanan. I would never tell them, Go out and let them score. Thats not what you want to teach kids.

My old high school just got whipped in a game 48-0. I remember being on a grade school team that lost a game by 63-0 (the other team had five adult coaches...we didn’t have any). My view is that if you’re bad enough to get whipped by a high score, you deserve to get whipped by a high score.
Losing is a great motivator.
Nobody likes to lose.
When something happens you don’t like, you learn to avoid it.
You avoid losing in two ways. You quit or you learn what it takes to win, and implement that into your life.
Eliminating a loss in your child’s life, does not prepare them for the real world.
Unless we’re talking about Obama’s real world, where there are no losers and winners are in fact penalized.
Don’t want to lose 91-0. Then stop them.
I am angry that this ridiculous story is taking up space that should be devoted to IRS, Benghazi, Obamacare, and Fast & Furious scandals.
I’m not angry at the poster — just the news media in general. It ticked me off when they spent so much time on thos non-story on Fox and Friends this AM (which has totally degenerated as a news source since Elizaabeth joined the 2 silly men.) Where, oh where is E. D. Hill?
If this ‘parent’ gets mocked and/or ostracized she deserves it.
At the end of the game, the officials should have split the score 45-each team and tossed out the 1 point.
Poor widdle darlings.
Where’d I put my kleenex?
Maybe Western Hills should join a 3rd grade athletic department. Buncha wimps.
It does seem that F&F has longer fluff stories and shorter hard news stories any more.
Yup. Get into a fight if possible. That’s life kiddos. You get your ass kicked? LEARN. The principal must some liberal limp-wrist fag.
So put in the 3rd string. Give guys who have never scored a chance to do so, etc.
Send your son here:
I filing a bullying complaint against the entire NFL on behalf of the Minnesota Vikings.
I thought this was going to be the Vikequeens score last night, but the Giants stink a little less.
1926 Haven High School Football Team defeated Sylvia 256-0.
When I was a sophomore in high school, and homecoming to boot, the score was 68-0 our favor at half time.
Half time show, then it was announced the visiting team had left.
We looked up to see their buses driving away.
Sometimes lopsided scores happen.
“Unless were talking about Obamas real world, where there are no losers and winners are in fact penalized.”
This is what they’re being “prepared” for. If you lose, you get SSDI, food stamps and Obamacare. No worries! /s
We're 0-6, and all but one game have been blow-outs.
It's been discouraging for some, but most of the kids love playing football. More importantly, many new friendships have been struck over the past 3 months. I also turned the coach on to Atlas Shrugged, he and his wife had never heard of it.
My son knows basketball will be starting in a few weeks, and his team rarely loses a game. When the score's 29-2 in the third quarter, I know what the other parents ar going through.
